Richard Dumas had So Much POTENTIAL #shorts #nba #nbafinals

Richard Dumas struggled with addiction throughout his career; he served a year-long suspension before ever playing an NBA Game. But when he took the court for the Phoenix Suns, he looked like a special basketball player. He showed out in the 1993 NBA Finals, and the future looked bright. Months later, he had relapsed, and after a couple of failed comeback attempts, his career was over after just 3 seasons. So much potential lost to addiction.

  1. His teammate was right when he said that he's NOT A ROLE MODEL… although every grown man is responsible for himself; it doesn't hurt to have MATURE older teammates to show you how to be a pro and maintain 😉.. ain't that right 🦝

  2. I never forget him, I was a fan of him as a BULLS guy”……Huge Talent was ..Right away in 93 from the start he had like 15-20 point average…Too bad

  3. It shows it take a lot more than talent to be great. He absolutely could have been an all star.
Hope you has beat his demons.

  4. I saw mr. Dumas during his prime at a night club in downtown Santa Barbara high off his ass. He was just hanging smiling having fun like all the other college students. Couldn't help wonder what the hell he was doing there then i recognized the local drug dealer he was with. Glad to see he's alive now and looking healthy. Thanks for posting.
