Mailbag question: Sort of unrelated to all star weekend, and you touched on this later in the video but just curious what your thoughts are on Adam Silver as a commissioner. On the one hand, there are his recent tunnel-visioning on abolishing tanking, a half-hearted attempt to follow through on enforcing foul-baiting controls, a lack of action against Kawhi/Clippers from the contract controversy this summer, the change to the media contract so the remote fan-viewing experience is now split across several different streaming services. On the other, there is the in-season tournament, this shake up to the all star game, the play in etc.
In that vein, if you were the hypothetical commissioner and you could make as many changes to improve the NBA as a product what changes would you make?
Why did the coach of team Stripes play Kawhi the entire 12 minutes? He was clearly gassed. Why did he also play Brunson and Jalen Brown 12 minutes instead of Mitchell and Fox who only got 6 minutes? Jalen Brunson is the worst player on that team. Why did he get the starting nod and those minutes?
Commentators were straight up garbage for the last game the only one I watched. How can people actually watch that game sober and say it was good. It was a joke even thought not as bad as last years when they just ran up and down the floor horsing around but this year was STAGED which is just as bad. If you think that was a real game with real commentating please let me sell you some property

Agree with everything Jason said, BUT sad he omits cap circumvention and Aspiration. The “cardinal sin” thrives in darkness. Nobody pressures. Nobody cares. Maybe cheating is not as bad as I thought it was. NBA is a global brand and will give a global morality lesson. So far, the message is: no message, and most media sits idly by. 😢

It's and idea: why don't u make a 1v1 tournament a where the current nba leading scores and that needs to be specified at the begging of the Season that top 5 will be competing either against lats year leading scores or to make it more spicy last year first team all defense. So the scoring champ and all defense can be utilized in other ways

So why not shorten the minutes per game then to decrease injuries? Adam Silver can decide which games can be full 48 minutes and other games can be shortened.
