I'd say no because I want to move towards rebuilding anyway. Only way you resign Norm is if you're 100% confident that you can get a star player on this roster to pair with him and Bam, which I am not. We always get linked to stars and don't get anyone. I think we need to rebuild and find someone that we think can be our future franchise guy in the draft like we did with Wade.

Why are we worried about Norm’s age and the money he’s about to make? If that’s the concern, then why even consider trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo? He’s older, and you’d have to pay him nearly double for the same number of years. If age is really the issue, then the team might as well commit to tanking and building around a young superstar from scratch. Because if Miami starts making age a major factor in every decision, it’s going to hurt their reputation. Players won’t be eager to come here if they feel like the organization isn’t fully committed to winning with experienced talent. At some point, the franchise has to adjust its philosophy and remain an attractive destination for players who want to compete at a high level.

You said it yourself, without him we’d be 23-33 or thereabouts. Without him, Jakucionis would have logged a lot more minutes to date.
What has it been thanks to Norm? Another perfectly mid season that we all cry about, every last one of us. He weakened our lottery pick, stopped progress on young players, created a contractual dilemma for the team.
The only thing they could have done to make trading for him worth it would have been to flip him for assets at the deadline. The only thing they can do now to make him worth it is sign and trade him for whatever it is we can still get for him.

Get rid of Herro, build around Bam, Powell, Wiggins, Ware to me is too soft and not a true Center imo, so i would also trade him and get a center that will just focus on rebounding and scoring in the paint.
