I love Deuce but I've said this for the last 2 years… Deuce is gonna be another Immanuel quickly situation. He played so well he played himself out of New York. We won't be able to afford him. Hopefully 🤞 brock can work some magic with the numbers so that we can keep him.

You see I had this injury- and i have it now (a re injury).. i CAN play in one – two weeks from injury. BUT at a pro level of effort and 38 mins – NO. And risk for re injury is high. Marsh- it IS serious… but the surgery is very effective- BUT i am not familiar with that side. The first time i got this i was full strength at about 3-4 months again.
Going back to surgery… i am surprised he went that route becasue trom what i know they cut through something (i forget).. and that thing they cut is very integral to movement in future and can lead to MORE injury in that area.
I am no doctor.. but if i was deuce i would have sat out and rehabbed whole season (no surgery) and come back for playoffs so my future was in tact and my fascia was intact still.
In a cut throat sort of a business way (no heart involved) i would have traded him for something – because we cant guarantee he will not be injured worse in the future. I hate it but business wise i would have.
For me- selfishly i love him! All about him and what he brings. And my heart would have kept him if i was the GM – cause hes sooooo what i want in a player for my time. So i am happy to take a risk ONLY with HIM 💙🧡

The 6 to 8 week recovery window Includes the full ramp up , it's not like he'll be starting full ramp up when playoffs start, he'd already have weeks of intense training under his belt, hell he fine plus we only need him to give us 15 to 20 mins per game, now that we have Alvarado they can split the time
I had sports hernia surgery 3 years ago. Rehab protocol is typically 12-16 weeks. I hope he gets back healthy, but I also hope he doesn’t rush back from this injury and is able to stay a Knick

With injury fresh off surgery youd be giving him away because its too much of a risk. Meaning his value is a giannis trade is the equivalent of Mohamad and hukporti.
