The Pelicans are heading into a massive decision, and this coaching hire might be the one that finally shifts the direction of the franchise. In today’s video, Jordan Kitchens is breaking down who could realistically become the next head coach of the Pelicans, what the team needs in their next leader, and why this move has to be the one they get right. And whether the Pelicans could actually make a splash by going after a championship‑winning coach like Michael Malone. 1. I actually really like Coach Borego. I think he's doing what he can with the roster that he had to work with. People say culture is overrated but he's trying to set up a culture where they don't give up even when they're down and they've proved they can be that. They're not closing the games because they are TIRED after the 4th quarter from hustling for 3 quarters straight and lack of offensive rebounds are killing them. They need more rebounds and three point shooters. Aside from Trey I don't know who else is that and maybe Bryce Mcgowens too. Once they solve those two, then it's just getting more cap space and getting younger guys and a solid bench.
