Why is Jalen Johnson in the Most Improved conversation at all? JJ's MIP case was 23/24 (should have won over Maxey), while taking another step last year that earned him a $30m a year contract (+4.4 ppg year over year). I get Deni, he went from great role player or 3rd option to legit star (+8.3 ppg), but shouldn't this category go to guys who really took a leap like Ryan Rollins (+10.7 ppg and went from barely a rotation player to clear starter). I know people hate to have guys like Ajay Mitchell (+7.6 ppg, but getting close to disqualified at 13 games missed) who are sophomore's who finally got a larger opportunity (mostly due to injuries last season), but Rollins is a 4th year guy taking a massive leap. MIP should never go to a guy we all thought was as good as he is before the season started, with Maxey in 23/24 and JJ this season my overall outlook of that player hasn't changed. Lauri and Dyson legit deserved MIP.
As a thunder fan Chet is awesome on defense. He just isn’t wemby lol. But like you said that’s no shade to Chet. Wemby is literally just generational on defense. Probably will go down as the best most impactful defender of all time as long as he stays healthy.
i cannot see Luka winning much…he an offensive force no doubt – one of the greatest ever!! He is not on par with Joker with his passing, he cannot defend more than x2 possessions across 48mins and doesnt move the ball well at all – his attitude is bad, he isnt a leader and will get swallowed up agin comes finals time – again!!
to run a team right now…i would take Joker, Cade and then Wemby – they turn up, they lead, they play the right way and make those around them better!
Luka glaze like usual. Crying for fouls and non defensive presence he’s a more gifted harden.
Why doesn't Holmgren guard Wemby? Simple…he lacks the size, skill and mobility to stay on Wemby…he'd look like a fool trying.

Completely disagree that Luka is “every bit of the passer Jokic is”. Jokic is a top 3 passer EVER.

Not being as good as another player talent wise means very little onin production and success during a season and i think that's been an issue in the mvp voting.
Sn: I think lukas cieling is much lower because of the fat. He's been in the league for 8 years. He should be teaching his peak and because his game is predicated off volume production, when his shot is falling he has to fight much harder to be effective outside of the volume, and that includes being more responsible defensively. He has neither the mentality nor the conditioning to do either unless a light switch goes off like garden late on his career. When tatum couldn't find his shot during the finals run, he put east more effort into defense, rebounding, passing and defense while brown scored and hit clutch shots
It's sad that Isaiah Stewart isn't being talked about for DPoY. Isn't he the #1 rim protector in the league this year and also the best in points allowed per isolation? He also switches onto every position.

As a Nugget fan the joker has been a total joke this year… he’s turned to flopping and whining to the refs all the time… throws the ball away excessively and plays with no aggression… doesn’t even deserve to be in the MVP conversation.
The one thing I will say is that I think jokic has a higher ceiling than Luka. When jokic is at his best he can do everything you said Luka can. He can hit all kind of acrobatic 3’s even smothered by elite defense while also hitting like 80% of his short range shots on less shot attempts then Luka. This is not to mention that jokic can have absurdly high stat count triple doubles. As great as Luka is at his peak I just don’t think he peaks as high as jokic.
If cade wins MVP, idk man. Bit of an asterisk beside it. Like he's cool and all but he has normal all-star level impact stats. 60 games of Shai/Jokic > 75 of Cade imo. Era of efficiency idk how you could have an mvp with negative relative trueshooting.

The wolves defense is top 5 with Gobert. And bottom 5 in the league without him. I dont get the Chet hype for dpoy, feels like hes going to get it based off his team record. Great defender but he doesnt warp the game like some other defenders.

Not having Joe Mazzulla as a contender for COY is absolutely insane Jason. You alone in the summer had them a lower play-in team. You also said you didn’t think JB would flourish in his new role as the 1A. You thought he’d struggle with TO’s etc… Joe Mazzulla lost 4 of his top 6 guys and has his team Number TWO in offense and Number NINE in Defense. Only team in the east right now in top 10 for both. You are ridiculous. I watch all of your stuff, but that COY take is insane and comical. You’re better than that. Also wanted to add, JB is in the conversation of being MVP. He’ll probably finish top 3 in voting, maybe top 2. Not having JB first team All NBA is also ridiculous. He’s a LOCK!
