  1. While I expected him to have a much larger offensive role coming into the season, things obviously changed with the break out of Key and Lauri playing like an all star again. Ace has exceeded my expectations in every other facet of his game. He's proving every negative thing said about him wrong. Once he adds some muscle his defense , ISO ball and finishing at the rim are all going to improve so much. He's got the foundation and the Jazz are extremely good at developing young talent. The future is bright for ace

  2. If the Jazz could finally get their crap together and get everyone on the court then you will here more about Ace. He's hanging in there for sure and he will be great in the coming years!

  3. i feel like that's his role rn for how he's built he's skinny if picks up more weight i feel like they would change his role or play style he got good potential

  4. Im a Jazz fan and Ace has been coming along nicely. His game is maturing, he is learning at only 19. His skills are elite. Pure Scorer. He has been efficient. Untapped potential. He has a chance to be the best player in his draft class. Go Jazz!

  5. He's not going to get the ROTY love because he hasn't scored enough but he's developing into a high quality 2 way jumbo wing. Trey Murphy floor Tatum ceiling

  6. No he’s ridiculous. Hardy has been having him focus on fundamentals, once he can add that shot making more regularly, he’s going to be a star

  7. The dribble pull ups ring Tracy McGrady so hard I feel like im watching a young version of him. The in and out fake to the 3 line, classic TMac.

  8. Ace is very promising, supremely athletic, and has a ton of potential (some of which we are now seeing). The Klay Thompson comparison is a stretch, though it's admittedly difficult to come up with someone he plays like (body-wise he reminds me more of the Jerami Grant, Peyton Watson, Jaden McDaniels, Trey Murphy, Thompson brothers types). Different body type and offensive/defensive game than Klay. Klay had a ton of gravity as a shooter out of the gate, which Ace doesn't yet possess. He'll probably have a more dynamic offensive role and not be as heavily slanted towards catch and shoot.

  9. People who bash tanking don’t realize that the jazz’s rotation style as of late (and likely for the rest of the season) is legit meant to help ace + their young core develop. Seeing how they perform with more playing time and more actions on ball (and in a 4th quarter) to either protect a lead/win a game, against teams that are trying to win, is seriously valuable information if you want a playoff roster with depth. Consistent mistakes aren’t gonna cut it next year for them so the Jazz def need this data. Like you I think we see (hopefully) ace blossom more as a 3 level scorer, passer etc in this latter half of the season

  10. Definitely cool to see this stretch from him. And yeah, his naysayers(some of whom were draft pundits) should be ashamed of their lack of work in the process last year. We didn't see it alot because Rutgers was crap, but there were flashes of this elite cutting game that I was like "hmm". Turns out system and fit bring out the best in players once again.
