Am I GM yet?
The Bullets/Wizards haven't had a really rebuild since 1968, until now. Since like 1984 when Ruland's knees went out, the franchise has largely been in purgatory in perpetuity – at NO time were they in danger of contending in all those decades – I know as I unfortunately have been a fan since '76.
Who cares what grade they get? I could care less. This is the first competent front office since Bob Ferry started sucking.
This is also the first competent drafting team we've had since again – Championship Bob Ferry.
Its the first good FO at player development EVER. The franchise has sucked ass at player development since its inception, until now.
I'm enjoying the ride for the first time since they found a blunt in Webber's suitcase.
EDIT: I'd predict Trae and AD are transitory Wizards that get flipped for better draft capital while bringing the team into a winning mindset with, yes, a playoff spot. Expect contending like 28ish.
The Washington Wizards are the Cleveland Browns/Las Vegas Raiders of the NBA and will be treated as such until they earn respect. I don’t care who’s in the lineup. The entire organization has to prove themselves worthy of accolades.
Danny Ainge has his Celtics days considered too. Dawkins is still a young kid on the block. How you gonna take a guy who’s been around 2-3 years and say he’s a top 10 guy. He’ll get there.
I hate Tanking
CBS has no credibility anyway.
I have two recent issues, we are trying to jump the timing by trading for Trae and AD which creates roadblocks for young players. Also, we have so many of the same type of player. Just a weird team.
