Giannis’s Future, the Bucks’ Identity Crisis, and What’s Next: Ben Golliver Joins to Break It Down
Milwaukee Bucks face a pivotal crossroads as Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future hangs in the balance. Is the era of championship contention over, or can the Bucks rebuild around their superstar? The show explores if Milwaukee’s recent roster moves—like the acquisition of Damian Lillard and trading for Miles Turner—reflect strategic hope or mounting desperation. Ben Golliver raises tough questions about Giannis’s evolving leadership, injury concerns, and on-court chemistry, challenging fans to consider whether the franchise should pivot toward a fresh start.
Justin Garcia examines what the Bucks’ legacy means for Milwaukee, weighing the risk of returning to irrelevance against fan loyalty and potential roster upgrades. Key discussion points include Milwaukee’s depleted draft assets, loss of team identity, and how the Bucks compare to NBA rivals in adapting to league trends. Can Giannis and the Bucks reclaim national prominence—or is a bold rebuild the only answer? Don’t miss this incisive look at Milwaukee’s high-stakes summer.

If the money is right Giannis will stay. Regardless the bucks are pushing for the playin. If they had their own pick they’d tank. Who should the bucks target in free agency? Who should be traded for better players and to move up in the draft or adding draft assets for this year better than the bucks’ pick?
Who is this guy
Why are you guys dropping so much content ?
Wow….Ryan you don’t have a chance to persuade this guy. He is truly crapping on the Bucks. Is this how everyone feels outside of the Bucks Nation bubble? Sheesh!!!!
I love the content. Keep that Blue Magic coming. #Bucksin6
Had to turn him off..i hear enough hate already from national media as in..when we get to the 7th or 6th seed please bring him back
get this pessimistic non ball knowing debbie downer off my screen. giannis a buck lifer.
Idk why our pieces are getting understated.. Giannis,Myles,Rollins,Green are real contending pieces. The problem this entire season has been that we literally don't have a starting 3 and our bench is atrocious. Bobby, kuzma, trent, cole Anthony,Gary Harris,Andre jackson jr are all UNPLAYABLE. This is why Nance,Dieng,Thomas change this team. They are upgrades in all the positions we need. We get a potential future starting 3 (or even current depending how fake or real his recent performances are, but regardless of his scoring he does the small things. Rebounding, defending, ball handling, IQ. Exactly what we ve needed. Cam thomas is a huge upgrade over Trent as we get a guard that is a super dynamic scorer OFF THE BENCH. And we can insulate his bad defense with KpJ who is leading damn near the league in steals and deflections while also being another ball handler. Lastly, Pete nance who is finally a 4 that can shoot as well as bobby without being an absolute hole on defense. Also smart, rebounds , moves the ball, and moves his feet on defense. Oh also if this Sims revelation with his offensive rebounding sticks, especially when Giannis is back who is also good at offensive rebounding, then the identity of this team can completely change. It's not that Thomas, Dieng, Nance are huge pieces by themselves. It's the fact that we can now finally NOT play players that have been absolutely detrimental to the team. I expect a bucks run after this break. And idk about all this getting young thing. Green Rollins KPJ Dieng Thomas Nance are all young and the pick we ll get in this year's draft Should also be good as the draft this year is stacked..
What is this guy connection to Milwaukee? As far as i know he works for the Washington Post. The amount of negativity coming from this guy is a huge turn off. Who is he to decide what is best for the Bucks? Only 1 team is going to win the championship and as far as i know, no one team has won multiple championships in this decade thus far.
Justin let Ben walk all over him. Justin sentiment was changing towards the positive side. And he often got annoyed with the national bucks takes. Yet, he agreed with all Ben trade giannis points smh.
IF GIANNIS WANTS TO STAY IN MILWAUKEE HE WILL AND I BELIEVE THAT THE GREEK FREAK ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE BECAUSE THIS IS IS SECOND HOME SIMPLY AS THAT
The comments of some are proof that the truth hurts. The Bucks due to the all in now the future be damned approch helped to get us here. Maybe because we're as a small market team without a lot of championship success that we detrimentally cling to our limited glory moments of the past. To the point that we don't know how and when to move on.
The Bucks are like a old car that is constantly in need of repairs. The car has become a liablity that is a constant pain in the wallet. It's time to get shed of it and get something new. We hold on to players too long when it's obvious to outsiders that it's time to think about the future. If all you can see going forward is the glory of the past then it's proof that you can see no glory in the future. It's like the Boyz to Men song " It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday".😢
But like another song that says "The sun will come out tomorrow it's only a day away". The Bucks are learning win without Giannis fans need to also learn to believe in it to.
So let me get this straight.. if the bucks keep winning and end up solidly in the playoffs, it's completely pointless because they're just going to get "killed" anyway? So unless you are okc or the bucks of 21, what's the point every year then? So what, 22/23 teams should just close up shop and tank every year if they aren't the top contenders after the regular season?? What a pathetic outlook on professional sports seriously. The chance to win a round or 2 in the playoffs is f$&king awesome!! Winning playoffs series with obviously the ultimate goal of a chip is why you compete, but acting like if you aren't strongly favoured to compete to come out of the conference that it's completely pointless, Is so absurd!! And yes, obviously the bucks don't have the strongest roster! But goddamn man, I'll take a competitive giannis in a playoff series to go against anyone's throats
I remember the Bucks from the very beginning The Lew Alcindor change to Kareem Abdul Jabbar Oscar Robertson through the Kareem trade to the Lakers that led to the late 70s of Marques Johnson, Brian Winters Bob Lanier Junior Bridgeman era. The Lakers and the Boston teams rarely if ever go to the bottom becoming lottery teams because they keep trying to improve their teams with new players. No one player is bigger than the Team Organizations future.
I agree with Ben Golliver.
A bunch of negative nonsense. The Bucks can take down any of these teams in the playoffs.
Ben Golliver giving the typical middle America sentiment mentality..
End of an era? we just started
This guy is so full of shit. Clearly doesn't watch the Bucks at all and knows absolutely nothing about the roster. Rollins, Turner, Green, KPJ, Kuzma can all be good players on a contender. Not to mention young players like Ousmane, Nance and even Cam Thomas that can still grow. Not "old and slow" any more like he is saying. And no, they're not taking that trash offer from the Knicks. Goodbye and never come back, clown.
This was a true 'ROAST GIANNIS" podcast … He needs to ask out … Get the hell out of Milwaukee and never look back … Throw the stone over his shoulder … if Giannis was "CRAP" the way these guys put it in their own shitty way, teams would not line up to acquire him … He's done enough for the Bucks … And these guys talking here would not be relavent anywhere because there would be no Bucks in Milwaukee if not for Giannis … My advice to Giannis … Look after your family and go to a place where people are grateful to have you.
Nobody knows what this current team will do until they all get healthy. This guy probably didn't think the bucks were all that good the year they won the championship so who cares what he thinks now.
