The Cleveland Cavaliers Need To Make INSTANT CHANGES! | Cavs vs Thunder Reaction (Mobley Off Bench?)
This was the first game since the James Harden trade where the Cavs looked like the big game cavs, this looked like the playoff Cavs, and for as hyped as I was, for as invincible as it felt to be a fan of this team, once the cavs went up against the reining champ the main core issues were exposed once again, i know i tend to be like every diehard cleveland fan and i overact and add drama to everything, i know the thunder were a great team even when injured and that this would be a tough one, and i know the cavs are gonna take a month to have full chemistry after all the trades.

the main main issue today was turnovers. it changed everything for the worse
Spencer, you spoke no lies. Im tired of the Cavs facing Boston, OKC and other teams and always down 20 in the first quarter. They never check all the 3 point shooter and they always move so damn slow. They always do goofy stuff…like that came all the way back TO TAKE THE LEAD just to capitulate to what got them beat in the 1st quarter. This team cannot stay on schedule once they take the lead and do what got them there. Man, I am tired of them and these mental lapses.
if they just turned it over 3 less times they couldve won. it really was that simple today it was the main reason we lost. It obv caused their momentum swings, and hard to defend transition buckets from them, both from dumb turnovers in the 1st quarter and that put us behind from the beginning. those 3 less turnoveres wouldve erased 6 of those transition points they got and then if mitchell wouldve just made even one of his threes on top of that then its anyones game
Personally, I think we still heading in the right direction. Just got to make adjustments and figure out better defensive schemes against 3 point shooting teams

It just didnt make sense to me in the first place, id rather have one of JA or mobley on the floor st all times than wasting time having them on the floor together, they both work better as the sole center on the court. Theres too many shooters on the team to be wasting time running a non shooting lineup in 2026, especially pur starting lineup 😒
Tons Of Missed Calls
It’s actually insane how stubborn the coach and staff are. You’re right we aren’t coaches but we see the game in very good perspective the coaches don’t. We are fans and are much more devoted to this shit, we aren’t getting paid.
Playing poorly, turning it over, and the horrible reffing that is a daily occurrence without defined rules in the NBA and they still almost won. Not concerned about todays game against OKC but certainly concerned about the rules and the refs. They allow pushes in the back on rebounds see NY knicks, they allow using your hands to push off a faked screen, what the funk is that? Even during the game Richard Jefferson spoke the truth. The refs blew the goal tending and rip move and called ticky tack on the Cavs but when Cavs get smashed no foul on OKC. Please this is not watchable and the NBA suffers becuse of undefined rules. Jefferson even clearly stated a smaller guy gets the foul call but a bigger guy might handle it better so no foul ..That is not defined rules its stupid and is almost unwatchable unless you have a favorite player or team. Allen gets mauled and nothing almost all the time. OKC plays hard and fast and fouls often and no calls. Easily missed 10 calls and ones and so on. Luckily we had the challenge on the foul that was called on Cavs at the end of the game. Its a joke.
too many turnover in the first half, bad 3 point shooting , harden and mitchell did not actually play well, 28 pts down in the first quarter is too much to catch up especially against OKC. they giving harkenstein easy buckets and not checking 3 point shooters but im not worried yet cuz at least they can catch up even 28 pts down against the world champion but again this is without there 2 star player they need to work on there defense against the top teams and sam merrill need to start shooting 3's in the first min of the first quarter he should have first option when shooting three's and i think the reffs help them win too it was close game even we play bad everthing went bad after the reff did not call a goal tending on the schroeder layup i guess thats what happen on home court advantage.
the perfect player for this team would be kawhi leonard just wishing, he can score the tough buckets within the painted area's and hit threes as well. he would immediately make this team a championship caliber team .

I still dont know why we are changing our SF every other game. This team needs consistency to have an identity. If you arent going to make many adjustments in game you better have control of the game. This game was especially inconsistent. Maybe I need to go watch some old games with good Mobley and Allen chemistry because its just really lacking, especially with Mobe coning off the injury but he was so disappointing today and I would have rather just seen Allen get more touches
There are at least five issues with the Cavs you can name right now. They always get on these slow starts in these big primetime games which is not good the preparation for these games must not be that good more film study NOW. Second is the lack of preparation leads to them being completely shocked when they hit the floor causing turnovers like you said. Third is that stupid zone defense I don't get why we always run a zone defense against a red hot shooting team it leads to overhelping and open 3's just like the Pacers series. Fourth is the rebounding I thought JA was fine today but Mobley is the tallest dude in the state of Oklahoma getting 2 rebounds like come on get tougher and box out, cant be soft. And finally the hero ball/and or bad shot selection. There were multiple possessions in the second and fourth with bad shot selection Naequan got blocked by Chet then tried to dunk on him while fading away, Tyson took some really bad shots also, and same with Mitchell in the end of the 3rd and the 4th he forces too much when the game is tied need better shots. Focus, prepare better, and be more tough physically and mentally is what the Cavs need to do.

Wade needs to go to the bench not Mobley, start Merrill or Tyson
I think the next big move has to be to choose between allen and or mobley or heck even move them both while their values are high and get an actual 3 some guys who rent gonna be soft as pudding
The fact that the cavs started so badly and didn't panic was able to comeback and take the lead at one point shows me that they can win now it was just a bad start no since in panicking

When we started Merrill in the second half it was fine with spacing. We should do that.
Turnovers and missed/bad calls was a factor. I'm glad they fought back when they were down 20 because previously they would have just folded. The funny thing is when you look at the box score the Cavs wasn't far off. If Dean Wade hit a few shots and Tomlin hit a few shots this might have been a different story. All in all they did fairly well.
