Not this year😂
With the 23rd pick we can get…… a Nique Clifford clone. WHOOPIE!!!
yes,, hes not our guy…
Let me guess, we have to give up yet another future first protected to get the 23rd pick, no thanks.
He’s still a great player if he stays consistent. But I would make the argument that the Kings should’ve traded him rather than give him his extension
I think it depends.
Can Gm Scott Perry get off the Domantas Sabonis contract for draft compensation without adding Keegan Murray to the deal?
For instance, who are the top 15 teams in the draft right now?
Are any of them contenders or close to contention?
Could they use Domantas Sabonis?
Can you get a top 15-20 additional first round pick with a package of say Domantas Sabonis, and DeMar Derozan's $10 guaranteed contract?
If you can then i think you keep Murray as you continue to build.
If a team insists on Murray in the deal rather than DeRozan, then to get off that Sabonis contract while adding a second first rd pick, i think you have to make that deal.
This is the time Gm Scott Perry needs to be creative.
Lavine, DeRozan, and Hunter all expire so nothing wrong with all three of them being on the roster for one last season.
That leaves Sabonis and Monk as the only vet contracts and it's that Sabonis contract that will not age well.
Nailing the lottery pick should be priority #1
Moving off that Sabonis contract should be priority #2
