Spurs perimeter defense is too good for how bad the Pistonsā 3pt shooting is.
Spurs will beat them worse when they match up in San Antonio.
That's interesting….my take was that Cade has a LOWER FLOOR than Luka and doesn't know what to do when he faces that. Also that he's a dirty player (on a really dirty team). I thought OKC were thugs, but Detroit makes them look like choirboys.

Summary of the first 12 minutes, spurs are a new defensive look for the pistons and they need to adjustā¦ they need to keep their defenders on the floor so spurs guards donāt blow past them, suggest Cade play a bit more like SGA ā¦.. I donāt know about you guys but I watched SGA go against Wemby, it was hilarious and itās definitely not the solution! The solution appears to be to hold Wemby so he canāt be in the play and hope you donāt get a foul!

Lot of Cade-protecting going on in sports media for some reason. I guess he's a new favorite for them, and they need to rationalize everything he does that isn't MVP worthy. Oh, and it wasn't just Wemby. Yall need to start respecting Castle. You guys act like these guys are just having off nights against him and he has nothing to do with it.
Having a reliable middy is so important to compete with the spurs. Wemby can eliminate the rim and 3pt shooting has so much variability. Having someone that can consistently knockdown 15-18 ft shots just to extend the defense a little bit is valuable

You need elite 3pt shooting as a team in order to have a decent chance at beating the Spurs.
Steph Castle is really an impressive young player, especially on defense. Heās a really sturdy, strong and a legit 6ā6ā. I will be surprised if he doesnāt eventually make multiple all-nba defensive teams. It helps that having Wemby behind him allows him to play really aggressively.

One of the major problems I noticed with the pistons is that they donāt have a center who can shoot 3ās to get wemby out of the paint. They rely on points in the paint so itās not a surprise that Wemby dominated at the defensive end with 6 blocks. And anyone who actually watched the whole game should know that wemby had a very off night offensivelyā¦. Itās scary to think what he can do when heās actually āonā ā¦. And still he almost had a 20 20 game ā¦. I was curious to see how this matchup would go since they havenāt played each other all seasonā¦ As a spurs fan itās a good matchup for us but it prob wonāt matter come playoff time cause all a team has to do in a 7 game series is contain Cade ā¦ they donāt have a real second optionā¦ they rely on Cadeās scoring to much and this wanna be ābad boy pistonā Isaiah steward tough guy style bs where they just try to foul the $hit outta you and push you around and basically hurt you kinda like OKC ā¦ Trashā¦. Why didnāt they put a strong body fronting Wendy in the paint and get a lower center of gravity to shield drivers who should shoot floaters or bank Shots. Should have multiple counters to Wendy. I guess we will see them at playoff time and not now.

Spurs 8-1 v top 3 opposition in both East & West. The only team for 30 years to beat the team with the best record in the NBA 5 times. Oklahoma 4 & Detroit once. That is a reasonable record against top opposition, i don't know how Detroit betters that from the introduction
