Maxime Raynaud Stands With the Fans of the Sacramento Kings
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. – Sacramento Kings rookie Maxime Raynaud, chosen with the 42nd selection overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, is humble, intelligent, gifted, and talented.
The Frenchman, with a Stanford University education, also has a deep, sustained, and emotional connection with the Sacramento Kings’ fans, whether they know it or not. He put that on display after the Kings lost to the Orlando Magic on Feb. 19, 2026, with a final score of 131-94.
This defeat marked the team’s 15th consecutive loss, setting a new franchise record, before they embarked on a 5-game road trip. The Kings ended that streak that reached 16 when they beat the host Memphis Grizzlies 124-113 on Feb. 23.
After that loss to the Magic, he assured the fans that the Kings as an organization would focus on winning by any means necessary. The fans of Sacramento booed the Kings no sooner than the Magic game was over.
The team is currently 13-46 and won’t return home for a game at G1C until March 3.
In the interim, Raynaud currently leads all NBA rookies in double-doubles for the 2025-26 season with 11. His teammate, rookie Nique Clifford, recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 steals in the Kings’ victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.
