Jonathan Kuminga SHINES in Atlanta Hawks debut πŸ‘ ‘PERFECTLY PETTY’ – Chiney Ogwumike | NBA Today

On NBA Today, I’m joined by Brian Windhorst, Chiney Ogwumike and Marc J. Spears to run through some of the biggest storylines in the NBA before breaking down Atlanta Hawks newcomer Jonathan Kuminga, who led all scorers with 27 points in his debut after leaving the Golden State Warriors.

  1. Really happy for JK who has found a new home and opportunity to put his talent to use and help this team. Bravo!!

  2. Mind me, He dropped easy 27 points coming off the bench in 24 min. I've been warning y'all this kid can score easy.
They say he doesn't play defense but ended up (still from the bench) with 7 Rebounds and 2 steals. They say he's selfish, but he shared 4 dishes. All this from the bench

  3. You can see the people who never watched the Jk game a day and in their fucking life. The dude smiles every fucking game he played

  4. Kuminga just a show, for the regular season, but come playoffs, you'll see the will to win at all costs, the basketball IQ and discipline matters.

  5. We say flashes, we say this is new, but just a couple years ago, Kuminga scored 20pt+ a game next to steph, for a dozen games straight. He beat the rockets last year nearly alone in OT (he scored or assisted on a dozen points in ot to beat the rockets, who had no answer for him). He dropped 34pts on Minnesota in the playoffs, and he has scored a point a minute or better all season that he played with the warriors. As a Warriors fan, I'm pissed they traded him for PZ, but at least now I get to see the kid play, and at 23, he is too good to be benched like he was, especially for an 8th seed.

  6. only one game but 27 pts 9/12 fg's in 24 mins after being out for a month is impressive even if its against the wizards.

  7. Hawks are such a good landing spot for him too, perfect fit for the timeline, weaker conference. Feels like they have a surplus of forwards maybe, but Risacher’s not looking so hot so it’ll probably be fine.
