A year ago being a Mavs fan was highly depressing. Now, being a Mavs fan is just boring, the games don’t even matter until next season, unless Cooper is actually playing.
Dumont / Edelson bought the Mavericks to use them a keystone attraction for a new arena in Dallas. The new owner's business is casino development and that is what they are going to do. What they really want to do is to build a resort/ stadium/ casino complex in Dallas. That idea is dependent on the Texas state legislature approving casino gambling for Texas in the session this coming summer. Dumont probably believes that casino gambling will eventually be approved for Texas this summer or in 2028.

Income inequality inherently leads to this type of price gouging. We need to tax the hell out of the rich, especially the Epstein class.
The warriors ownership did this when they built their new arena in 2018. And since then the only thing I hear about is how they priced out fans and how dead the arena feel’s because many aren’t diehard fans it’s people who can afford to go.
