  1. OKC had a lot more "playoff" experience than SA has right now going into last playoff run. In 22/23 they played 2 play-in games, a win against the Pelicans and a loss against the Timberwolves. Then in 23/24 they 4-0 a series against the Pelicans and lost 4-2 to the Mavs. 12 playoff games for OKC vs 0 for SA for both the team and coach is a big gap.

  2. i mean, Wemby took France on a deep Olympic run. and they were in it until Curry went ballistic. that counts as playoff experience to some degree.

  3. Area 51 MVP can make the finals. And win a ring at 22 years old.
The other early 20 years old finals MVP was Magic Johnson at Lakers in 1980.

  4. People also forget that while it was not the NBA, Wemby competed for a championship in the top Euroleague just a month or so before getting drafted- he also got some experience via the 2024 Olympics where he took his French National team to a silver.

  5. Denver to me is potentially the most likely to make it out of the West. A healthy and well-rested Jokic is going to put up some unreal numbers. Not sure Wemby has the physical stamina to get through a couple of playoff series, especially if they go to 6 games.

  6. I believed I'd never see a basketball show as good as Inside the NBA but here we are.

  7. Taylor does a good job of being the host. I understand experience matters but what the spurs have been doing needs to be noticed. I understand Denver but that was last year? This is a new year so let’s judge but what we currently see? Not by what we’ve seen!

  8. Another show with no respect to the spurs, I love it, keep it coming, keep counting out my Spurs. Thanks Nash for the flowers. These other dudes blind too

  9. I think Denver is one of the most overrated teams. Haven't made it past the 2nd Round since they won the title.
When they won the title they beat a 7th seed in WCF and an 8th seed in the Finals.
They have a historic offense because of Jokic, but also a bottom half defense. Means they win playoff games, but also lose a bunch, which leads to long series. That won't work for 4 playoff series.
Denver will get bounced in the 2nd Rd this year again

  10. Spurs are that good but if they can stay healthy, they are the team to beat. I don't think OKC are in the same vicinity of the Spurs right now. One thing that we don't see much from OKC is the swarming defense. Average team height of OKC is less than that of Spurs and that the swarming defense doesn't work. If OKC is going to go far they're gonna need a very high 3-pointers percentage. That's the only way unless they can get a good 7 footer now from somewhere to get a good matchup inside the paint.
