  1. I thought Coach Christie FINALLY came to his senses, but starting and letting Westbrook EXPLOIT this team for stats is DISGUSTING! It’s starting to become apparent that Coach Christie doesn’t have total control of this team or players. Westbrook is undeserving of a starting spot in this league after the WORST SEASON IN KINGS HISTORY! Rewarding him for this awful season is an insult to the fans who are paying to watch the man LITERALLY STEAL MINUTES AND SHOTS from a team that DESPERATELY needs to IMPROVE!!!

  2. Poor coaching and organization as a whole. There’s no such thing as development. It’s as if Doug just throw these players together and say just make it work. He preaches D but yet there’s none and also there’s no offense as well. Hell, there’s nothing going on for this team and it’s like Doug expects everyone to know what they’re doing. Where’s the development in that. He’s been an assistant for a while and he really has no excuse since he’s now the head Coach. I’m tired of everyone saying he needs a chance, but we’re witnessing what he’s capable of and it’s been extremely bad. The kings have more than 15+ games of being blown out by 10 points or greater including tanking teams that are trying to lose with injured players. They hold the worst record this season in blowout loss with more in negative in +-. Now tell me if Doug should still be head coach at this point or not. Even when we had Sabonis and crew they were still being blown out. I bet my bottom dollar that next year is the same thing because of incompetent coaching and pathetic front office/ owner decisions. Bad organization all around which deserves that grade “F” in last in ranking in front offices in the NBA. As a fan gonna wait 17 more years or more unless the owner sells this franchise.

  3. Yea i think Coach Christie definitely has some weaknesses but remember he hasn't had his projected starting lineup for even one minute this season, so i think some of the criticism might be a bit harsh.

If for example Sabonis, Lavine, and Murray were supposed to be The Kings top three players, look at how little they've played this season.

I mean he is playing 3 rookies(Clifford, Raynaud, and Cardwell) G League level guys(Carter and Plowden) 2 17-18 year vets(Russ and Demar) and a player who no one else had signed(Precious)

That's the top 8 of the rotation right now.

I guess if the thing is "more competitive" then yea, maybe he could be better because -10 per game is not great but when you watch the games, The Kings are often competitive but have really bad stretches.

Some of that "could be" due to guys just not having many games together and both Russ and Precious were not even in training camp.

Look at it this way, without Steph Curry, clearly Kerr's best player, Steve Kerr wins only 40% of those games.

So now you're talking about no Sabonis, no Lavine, and no Murray….the three top Kings.

What i will say in Coach Christie's defense is that he doesn't seem to be losing the players, including his vets.

I'm not sure he is the right head coach for a young team without strong vets on it but i say give him a chance first.

Extend him for another 3 seasons.

  4. I think the Warriors wouldn’t have traded Kuminga to us unless they felt like they were winning the trade by a landslide. They weren’t going to give us a fair trade despite giving him away to the Hawks for free.

  5. They have to stop playing Westbrook and Derozan. The ball movement is much better when they don’t play. Nothing against Westbrook but his style isn’t cut out for this team. If you want Carter to grow Westbrook needs to start his coaching career

  6. We don’t owe Westbrook anything I just don’t get why he is even playing. Management and coaching need to figure this out. At least help Carter develop and create value in him. This way you have an asset at least whether you keep him or not. Please don’t wast another first rounder @sacramentokings

  7. Matt, you are fooled by Carter, see how bad he played when facing some “decent” team, that have presence inside the paint. Carter is back to the “old” Carter that we knew.

Rather play Hayes, who is a facilitator, and can find open teammates, which is a skill not bothered by presence of big guys in the paint.
