I agree I think it's ok he only talent is that 3 level scorer but if only his willing to be a of the bench scorer even if his not playing defense rebound or play making bec he can be in a contender his a great scorer he can give u a lot of point of the bench for a long time and not play him his hot shooting well he might be out of the league soon maybe after a few years especially if the buck doesn't resign giannis
Seems like he lacks the fundamentals for playmaking. Needs to do passing drills then simulate game situations where all he is doing is passing out of blitzes. If he learns that he could a be good player but he’s 24 already so who knows.
All his issues can be fixed with effort and playstyle adjustments. He is definitely one of the most talented pure scorers in the league. Everything else just depends on his mindset and how he chooses to be coached.
Well you a Nets fan I have to say poor coaching may mislead any player in this world your beloved franchise is a shithole my friend that’s the problem throwing a future star under the bus and not getting him to develop to things you mentioned bad take on Thomas.
I dunno, I am not surprised at all he can't find a place. He goes against everything I have preached for 30 years. It's a team sport and defence wins championships.. teams are wising up with their strategy and have finally noticed how a top 10 usually top 5.. almost always a top 5 defence wins. Why bring in a high useage guy who can't win at the top of the sport? Why not give that development time to a guy who is "worse" to the casual eye but better to the team and fill in around someone better. Give me the team aiming for the top over the team aiming for 10th
He’s another Michael Beasley. Scores extremely well but in terms of team, brings nothing to the table besides headaches and frustrations. Selfish and doesn’t make his team or teammates better. Score 25 points out of 30 shots while giving up 30 points to opposing player he’s guarding. 😅
This is a great video. Your points about one-dimensional players speak to what I've been saying to my fellow Pistons fans about why Ivey was traded. When your one dimension is scoring, you're easily replaced and not coveted league-wide
Cam is a streaky scorer. One night he will go 10-15 and the next night 3-18. He does nothing else. No rebounds. No assist. No steals. No blocks. No defense. He is a legit 6 man who will get 10 shot+ up per night. He needs to be grateful that he has an NBA contract. He is standing in his own way. If he wasn't so selfish on offense and learn to find the open man and hustle for rebounds etc then he would be a starter. He is just 1 dimensional which is what a 6th man is.
He can score. But these certified bucket players need to have more than just scoring ability. For example, Keldon Johnson provides that extra big body and rebounding. If they need him to score, he can do that as well. Cam Thomas is a little undersized at 6'3" compared to Keldon Johnson and other guards that are 6'5 – 6'7". For a player that has been playing for 5 years, you need to average more than 2 rebounds and 3 assists.
I'd take Jaden Hardy before him, same kind of player, but at least Jaden knows he'll never be on the starting five for a playoff team. Thomas thinks he's all that.
Gary Trent on the raptors also had similar mindset got humbled tral quick he signed short term contracts. I'm sure teams have guys who score and do nothing else be in similar situations. Scoring being unique because it's more elite to be a one way scorer type of elite player than any other attribute and then demand a max contract
I pretty much agree with that. I will say that in Milwaukee he has tried more on defense. I'm not saying he's good, but the effort exists more than before. He also makes sense on the Milwaukee bench, since Kevin Porter Jr is a hot/cold scorer too, but one that creates and defends. Between them and Bobby Portis, somebody is bound to score.
His role is a better Jordan Crawford (not Jamal), that can create instant offense in a pinch off the bench. The question is if he is willing to accept that, and the pay rate that comes with it.
Dumb fuckin narrative. What you want a shooting guard to do if not shoot the damn ball?
Keep that ego in check and let's this young man cook when he's hot. When he's not, sit his ass down if he won't contribute elsewhere. Clearly someone wants him cause he's a rostered player.
He a black hole 💯💯 don’t pass or create for nobody else. He just looking to score. Even when he drive and put pressure on the defense he force up a shot instead of kicking it
Basketball is a team sport…you have to score, pass, rebound, defense and help your teammates and your team. If you do 1/5, it's difficult to play top level…

Bruh looks a little slow tbh
WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE CAM THOMAS HATE💯HES NOT A SUPERSTAR BUT HES A GOOD YOUNG PLAYER🔥6TH MAN OR 2-3RD OPTION WOULD BE PERFECT FIT FOR HIM
So he is a ball hog, a black hole. There I just summarize the video.

Thomas wouldve been perfect coming off the bench for the sixers; especially after trading away McCain.

not a single guard is allowed to be good on the nets
He plays like a 12 year old at recess

he actually plays worse off the bench… START THAT BOY

If nobody wanted him he would be out of the league
The issue is one he’s very inefficient and two he wants 25-35 mil a year and he doesn’t have good rebound or assist numbers

how u spend 10 mins saying the SAME thing the whole time?

I hate the fact that the Bucks are feeding Cam this idea that they always wanted him since summer, but wouldn’t make an offer a trade.
Cam Thomas is Lemon Pepper Lou Williams
Next season Cam Thomas will be playing in China. I already prepped my Shanghai Sharks T.V package for next season.
I think we really should be highlighting how bad and desperate the Bucks are that they picked him up when no one else wanted him.

If my thunder got him we could’ve developed him 😭
NBA scoring is at an all time high rn, seems everyone can put up big numbers nowadays
Cam “I am the Play” Thomas
He’s a 6th man like Lou Will, Jamal Crawford, JR smith etc.
He’s good but one dimensional and small
He's averaging 0.0 steals per game for Mil
Dumb fuckin narrative. What you want a shooting guard to do if not shoot the damn ball?

He is a big Isiah Thomas good scorer bad defender like Trae young in his case nobody cares about him being a good scorer
He a black hole 💯💯 don’t pass or create for nobody else. He just looking to score. Even when he drive and put pressure on the defense he force up a shot instead of kicking it
The Nets wanted too much, simple as that.
