  1. The MVP should be determined largely by the smallest slice of the pie: a team’s position in the standings — because that is heavily influenced by overall team effort and roster construction. A slightly larger portion should be based on individual statistics (both offensive and defensive). The biggest weight, however, should go to how the team performs with and without the player on the court — the point differential on both ends of the floor — because that truly shows a player’s value within a team. That, in my view, is the real measurement of value in any walk of life.

I also believe a player should be available for the majority of the season, and that availability should be reciprocated in the evaluation process. A player’s track record from previous seasons could reasonably weigh in on borderline decisions or close distinctions.

To me, that all points to Jokic — not because I’m his biggest fan, but because his team clearly falls apart (even within games) when he’s not on the floor. On top of that, he continues to improve every year, which is remarkable. It sometimes feels like parts of the media are searching for reasons not to award him more trophies, while simultaneously calling him the best player they’ve ever seen and watching him break new records.

Don’t get me wrong — I love Cade, Brown, SGA, and Luka. But a useful thought exercise would be to imagine all of these players switching teams and seeing who would fit best and have the greatest impact on winning.

  2. Wearing a mini skirt at ESPN? She's a crazy Janelle who Vince McMahon (One Acre) would hire as his personal assistant if he liked brown skin.🤘👹MegaloDON PEOll IBM/CIA/RacyAngels NC-17

  3. The second Tatum has to try and keep up with OG Anunoby he's going to get injured again
He better just chill until next year

  4. The spurs are gonna be fine. I they’ve been away from home for a while and were clearly not themselves. We’ll see them return to form quickly.

  6. This is the last year for the NBA has to avoid the start of another Spurs dynasty. Their assets available for free agaent acquisitions and the development of their super young core will put them in contention every year for the next decade at least. They're ready now, but the west has to pray that inexperience gets the best of them in thw playoffs

  7. Joe Mazzulla, coach of the year, Best two-way player is Jaylen MVP Brown hands down!💪🏿✊🏿 🏆 GO CELTICS DEFENSE!👀👏🏿☘

  8. That mentality of refusing to be a role player is exactly why he didn’t play in the Olympics. He can’t play his game unless he’s got the role of the best player on the court

  9. This is why I don’t watch ESPN.. and Windy ( you’re not allowed in New York anymore ) Spurs beat OKC one time and they are the next champion but the Knicks beat the Spurs and they still don’t have enough… instead of the Knicks playing to their competition and getting ready for the playoff run..

  10. They have been very Jekyll and Hyde where they looks lost against the Pistons then Match up well with the Spurs who have beaten OKC and Pistons all season. The NBA is really about match ups.

Knicks looked like a Finals team yesterday if everything clicks: Brunson not having to play hero-ball, Bridges and OG defending and scoring 15-25 points, the bench/role players hitting their open shots doing the dirty work, KAT putting up double doubles while being a Match-up nightmare. They just have to be consistent.

  11. They can’t beat the piston without one of they best players… but they could beat a stack really good team like the spurs, wth is going ?

  12. Did this man just say Jayson Tatum was one of the five best players in the entire world? Somebody get this man off TV. Please get some basketball heads on the show

  13. I feel like a team who's great offensively is much more of a challenge to the knicks than a team that's good defensively. In the east I'm more concerned about the cavs rather than the pistons.

  14. Knicks beat every good team in the nba except the pistons… thats it. Im a knick fan. Tired of these narratives. The only narrative should be can we beat the pistons in the playoffs..

  15. Every other NBA team (except maybe the Lakers) would be given time to have bumps and grow. But since it's the Knicks they gotta be championship level if not it's an absolute failure.

  16. Wendy does one basic dunk and they make seem like he did something crazy. The dude is like 9ft tall he supposed to do that

  17. NO. This Knicks will have another bad trip on semifinals vs Cavs or Boston.
This Spurs got under the skin of OKC pride (and young) champs. West is open. East is not. Sorry Knicks fans…

  18. To be impressed with a guy who is that tall to the rim and taller than anyone else seems kind of ridiculous to me

  19. If there’s one thing we New Yorkers know is the Knicks gonna Knick at the worst possible time in the playoffs 😂
