Sean Marks should be graded on his overall performance as the Nets GM since he took the job and not a perceived or actual "home run" based on the trade for MPJ. I think he should've been fired, at the earliest, when the "big 3" (KD/Kyrie/Harden) began to collapse.
nuggets should trade cam johnson if he cant fit in there.

Sean Mark has proven one thing. He’s a great bad team GM that’s what he is a great bad team GM.
Think about it when has Mark‘s been at his best? the overachieving bad Kenny Atkinson years and now the E for effort Fernandez years, but everything in between where the Nets had an opportunity to be good, he mismanaged and dropped the ball in epic fashion, and if not for Covid and Kyrie Irving to be scapegoated, maybe in a different universe Sean Marks would’ve actually been held accountable for all of those bad decisions on his watch but clearly he was able to place a lot of the blame on James Harden and Kyrie Irving and got a pass a HUGE pass from an owner who bought it hook line and sinker.
In between Kenny Atkinson and Jordie look at all the terrible coaching hires that’s on Sean Marks? who survives that many bad coaching hires? Steve Nash alone should’ve gotten him fired that what nepotism at its most outrageous.
There are also serious questions about his roster building philosophy. He constantly builds these finesse, soft teams that get beat up in the playoffs and beat up during the seasons. If you are a player with size you need not apply the Nets don’t want you.
when the Nets start turning a corner and if they get lucky and get a star player, there are still questions about whether Sean Marks is the guy to put the right pieces around that star for them to actually be successful because he wasn’t able to do it with Kevin Durant he made that terrible Ben Simmons trade that I’m sorry I knew that was gonna blow up in our face the moment he did it
he really thought thought trading one untrustworthy player for an Even more untrustworthy Ben Simmons was gonna be a franchise saver. Nobody believed that for one minute.
Again, Sean Marks is a director of scouting who happens to be a GM. Do people remember Billy King. Billy King never got another Job after the Boston trade what Marks has done since Billy King is far worse yet he has a life time job. It is crazy.
