Scottie what the heck mj was open on 2nd option cut and then the center after that on 3rd option on easy bounce passes .. then mj leaves man and could have given up layup to the cutter and luckily it was niot passed .. Then Mj saves the day knowing he gambled hard bc a layup made by Blazers actually would have put them up 1!!

This sums up why people consider Scottie a sidekick. This happened another time in the 97 finals during game 4 or 5 in crunch time. Scottie was inbounding the ball, looked at the ref and said “I can’t find anybody open” and the ref blew the whistle calling a 5 second violation.
