For the first time last couple years, I'm tuning out of raptors basketball
Man, when will Scottie Wake Up! Constantly getting punkd! laughed at! & shown up by other teams stars is not a good look.
What I mean by this is when will he finally take over a game, carry this team on his back & say No! Enough is Enough! I got this! We're not losing! I have not seen this even once against any good team this year. OKC was without Shai.
In all honesty & fairness, it seems like If Golden State can beat Houston without Steph, Scottie Barnes who's an All Star & who has another All Star on his team should be able to take control of & win some of these games.
Out of all people the reason why I became one of the very first fans and supporters of this channel is because I believe Rob to be an intelligent, honest and unbiased analyst which is why I just don't undertdand the lack of criticism towards some players.
Like after 5 years when is it finally okay to critize Scottie for his poor shooting, his constant slow starts offensively & what appears to be his lack of will and determination to win some of these games?
Yes! He's an amazing defender and I hope he wins DPOY, I think he deserves it but does it negate all the other stuff?
We're playing too lackadaisical. I'm hoping we can get some momentum leading into these playoffs. It would be good to secure the 5th spot in the east as our matchup in the playoffs would be the Cavs. I like our chances against them. But 76ers, Magic, Heat, Hornets are also knocking on the door. 20 games left! Scottie needs to hold a meeting with the other players….
I don't think this team should waste our time and get swept in the first round. We need to tank out of the playoffs and get into the lottery bracket. Try to draft some more talent for need. Still too many holes AND waste of roster spaces on this roster.

this team's boring as hell and there's no excitement or anything to look forward to here. it needs a serious talent injection and one or two real blue chip prospects. everyone should be on the table for upgrades or a retool.
Dude, I just need the playoffs to start so we can get swept and move on. This roster is deeply flawed but one good thing that came out of this season was , we know who we need to move into the future with: Scottie, BI, CMB, Ja'Kobe, Mamu, TJD. We need to re-think IQ, RJ and Poeltl.
Also, name the guy you did that funding pitch with so the whole world knows who not to reach out to. In Toronto, we don't take disrespect like that.
Scottie doesn’t play well, oh but he’s hurt. Any other player on the team doesn’t play well, oh they are bums, trade them, they don’t have any brain cells left.

I’m feeling the over exuberance of my own 50 win prediction to a few folks for this season now; seems like this team is great when almost everything is going right, but when is that ever the case? .. I just hope that they can catch wind before the playoffs and look decent enough.
Rob, I got a request if you read this. Could you do a video of breaking down just how much a star is capable of doing on the court before it becomes too demanding of that one player? Guys like CP3 didn't score 25 a night. He was busy playing his game as it was, which he did a lot for a team to win games.. it wasn't 25 though and these young fans seem to think thats all that matters and regardless if you have to guard PGs and Centers in the same game, thats always the demand. Guys like Paul George weren't tasked to protect the rim and run the offence, he has tasked to be a combo guard who stood around perimeter to shoot 3s a lot but also being a great defender. Again, still wasn't asked to be Magic, Jordan and Mutumbo all in one player

I just dont understand how Darko didnt switch his lineups that clearly werent working or giving up too much, even at the end of wolves game the garbage time lineup did more in the last couple minutes than we saw for most of quarter

I hate to beat a dead horse…but shooting, shooting, shooting. That is what separates good teams from great teams. Luckily we shoot a low volume, as we suck from beyond the arc. We sometimes shoot a decent 3pt percentage on those low volumes, but it is nothing we can count on. Teams will gladly slack off of our "3pt shooters" and take their chances. 75-80% of the time that will work against the Raptors. No shooting = no spacing = hard contested shots against a loaded paint = a lot of steals and blocks for our opponents + more chances of our players getting injured playing through all that contact. Our players either need to make their open 3s reliably, or we replace them with ones who can. Our best "shooters" happen to be our biggest liabilities on defence. They are "smaller", play soft, and create very little gravity if any, thus open driving lanes are few and far between which greatly contributes to our 5 min. scoring droughts we go through every game–usually when Scottie is on the bench. We desperately need 1 or 2 Lou Dort/Alex Caruso/Derrick White/Dillon Brooks type of players. A decent ball handler like Prichard and a stretch big like Naz Reed or Bobby Portis wouldn't hurt either. Hell, even at 40, I'd even take Al Horford over what we have now.
Obviously this team has a ceiling. we have 15 losses vs teams i'd classified as real contenders. 11 of those loses we failed to score more than 107. This offense isn't it.
Recent schedule hasn't been fair. Bouncing from home and away constantly. After Dallas we atleast have longer home and road stretches. Maybe that helps this team find some consistency. We were in similar conditions before our early season win streak. If we lose to Dallas some people would consider that a retest. Interested in our performance after the Dallas game.
