I like PJ but it’s obvious he peaked with Luka. Not saying he can’t be good with Cooper but Luka elevated him to a different caliber
PJ is sort of irreplaceable.
He guards multiple positions (which is hard enough to find), can create, shoot (a little),
Finish well in transition and is a clutch guy
(Winning free throws in OKC series).
He’s more valuable to us than anyone else.
A little overpaid but what are you going to do.
He's worn out his welcome here. He got an extension and it seems like he's regressed. It's also hard to evaluate, cause the team around him is absolute crap, and because of all the injuries. I just think you can find someone else to do what he does, at a cheaper price. Get whatever draft capital you can for him.
You keep PJ! Two things have happened last season and this season. He’s been injured quite a bit and the team around him has been trash. Heck, he was our leading scorer earlier in the year! I think there is a little bit of overreaction with everybody right now! I’m cool with possibly moving on from Gafford but you keep the main players together and see what you have next season with Kyrie and our newly acquired draft pick! From there, you can make major adjustments!
PJ is so overrated he's averaging one of the worst bpm this season on the team, and his shooting splits are terrible. he has no trade value. still a decent defender but that's about it
