I know this might not be a popular opinion, but it’s the truth. I don’t think we will win a championship with JB and Towns together. First of all, Towns might be one of the most frustrating players in the NBA. You can’t be that talented and still make such poor decisions, especially fouling when you know you already struggle defensively. Then JB needs to truly play the point guard role for this team to win. Sometimes he dominates the ball too much, and by the time the offense starts, there are only eight seconds left on the shot clock. At times he can be a bit of a ball hog, and I don’t understand why the coaching staff doesn’t address it. I think Mitch was referring to him when he said we don’t play team basketball, because there have been so many games where JB has missed Mitch on easy lob opportunities.
I wish Kat fouled out even 2 minutes sooner, him fouling out helped us catch up since we didn't have his horrendously awful defense in the game but just didn't foul out quick enough for us to have enough time to take the lead… They literally targeted him the whole entire game
The Knicks lost because Mike Mr. Potato Head Brown did not give the best player enough minutes. Mohammed Diawara should have played at least 20 or more minutes yesterday as the starters were all tired from the night before. Once again Horrible coaching!! Diawara was on fire but, only got 13 Measly Minutes!! Someone Please tell MB to open his freaking 👀 👀. What an A$$hole . This is not the 1st time either!!!
There is something wrong with the starting lineup.. i dont know if it’s as simple as just removing hart and inserting shamet.. i mean maybe it is but I dont think thats a guarantee.. but the one thing that is definitely clear and obvious, is that the starting 5 lineup is usually losing its minutes, especially against the better teams.. now its possible that the starting 5 just isn’t as good as the starters for other top teams and thats why the numbers aren’t great.. but we do have to try something else.. the obvious starting 5 for the playoffs is the double big lineup, or u can insert shamet or deuce in place of hart .. but this game couldn’t have made it more clear that the starting 5 being out there is actually costing the Knicks leads, comebacks and ultimately wins
Get Rick Brunson off the bench!! Send him to the G- League to coach or something. He’s too buddy buddy with Brown, and this is preventing Brown from making the right decisions! Brown is an experienced coach, so he has to know better, however, something is preventing him from making the right decisions.
The only thing I can think of( and I can be wrong) is his relationship with RB, and him not trying to ruffle any feathers with the Nova’s.

We literally won the last 3 games before this. Played the Raptors the night before. Came back from a 15 point deficit in the 3rd. Lost by 3 points. I'll take it. I'm not gonna beat them up for losing this game. They looked tired. We can't win them all. The Knicks on ANY given night can beat ANY TEAM in the league. And the defense has been amazing. Let's stop being overly critical.
Brunson is a defensive Liability and everyone is starting to see he holds the ball and stalls the offense. He does not have to look for his shot 3 possessions in a row. He dribbles way too much. Hart hurts Defense and offense. He does get rebounds but his flaw is on 3 or rotations and helping. He over helps and gambles too much which breaks down defense. Him and Brunson are always targeted on Defense. I literally said the lead will go back up when they came back in especially Brunson because of non ball movement. It's his team I get it but he is not above everyone where he can't be corrected. It's obvious the offense flows better without him in game especially for others. If you have not figured it out yet Hart is starting because of Brunson.
Knicks gave a good effort against OKC. Lost game in the end. Better luck next time knick fans. Knick fans should start making summer vacation plans. There’s no chip for the knicks this year or next. All real knick fans know this. Book it.
ummm cant blame hart. KAT fouled out then thats when hart got reinserted and re went from down 8 to down 3 with his stops and pts. maybe insert mo diawara instead? but i barely saw hart play in this game since he was injured
While the Knicks missed Robinson, the problem in Coach Brown. He's an upgrade from Thibs, but he's just as bad on the analytics. KAT was 7-8 from the floor. Why didn't anyone feed him the ball? ANSWER: the point guards are Brunson and Alvarado. I love Alvarado on the defensive end. But he's inconsistent on the offensive end. With this being said, WTF isn't Kolek the second string point guard? He moves the ball. His DNPs make no 🤬 sense!
The Josh Hart is the only point I agree with…grain of salt comment…the officiating was inconsistent at best, and everything wrong with the way NBA games are officiated at worst… I think it was a symbolic poetic injustice that SGAs non call in the first quarter was in the same exact spot that OG's basket was overturned into a charge…It was clear the referees did not want to give SGAs his third foul in the first quarter…Because it was a nationally televised game, but officiating needs to be even across the board… It was a testament to just how good the knicks are because they were in OG missed 3PT from taking the defending champs into OT who are apparently the new NBA's golden child, on the second night of a back-to-back, that's why I don't agree with any other points you made.
How could Leon Rose make such a stupid move and getting a non-scoring Jeremy Sochan and out there was Chris Bouchard who can score and is a center . How does that happen? What is Sochan supposed to be doing for this team?

Carlos Anthony is not being put in the game and used at the critical time! The best player need confidence and rhythm. I also feel that the best players are not moving the ball as part of their game, last year that was their own enemy, you need to practice moving the ball other ways the other teams will kill you because they would never be confused when defending a player.
