  1. Part of that was Russ was basically the sole play maker….he wasn't sharing half court play making responsibilities with DeRozan.

This is one of the reasons i place some of the blame for the offense being so underwhelming on Coach Christie.

I think you are mostly right about Russ and Demar being on the floor together a lot.

It was the same when Lavine was healthy and playing.

Russ, Demar, and Zach should not have been on the floor together for tons of minutes.

If Russ is your point guard, you need to either play five out with a floor spacing big that shoots or one big in the dunker with 3 shooting options.

Now when you look at the five man lineups for The Kings there are definitely some really good Russ/Demar offensive minutes but most of them don't have positive net margins because of the defensive end.

Ideally you would put a heavy iso player like DeRozan with your second unit where he can just hunt buckets.

I thought to start the season it should have been: Sabonis, Aichuwa, Ellis, Lavine, and Westbrook(Murray wasn't available)

DeRozan, Schroeder, and Monk should have been leading the reserve unit with Clifford, Cardwell, Carter, Eubanks, and others mixed in.

  2. This was so saddening, every time I caught myself genuinely enjoying watching this game, I remembered how bad we need to lose
