  1. I agree, Kerr is going to prioritize Podz over Gui in lineups when Steph comes back. I think it will force Gui into being more efficient, his efficiency isn’t bad as it is anyway, but I think Gui watched how Kuminga became more efficient relatively quickly because Kuminga had no choice if he wanted to get anything out of his time on the floor. So I think Gui will be able to improve similarly.

I also think Gui’s next contract will be bigger and it will be for another team.

Very interesting comparison of the play styles. I’m guessing this is why some fans think the Warriors are still playing motion offense or a beautiful brand of basketball even when the style completely changes when someone like Jimmy is on the floor or when there is no motion in the offense because the Warriors have no idea what the hierarchy is when Steph or Jimmy isn’t there lol.

Also explains why folks don’t understand how effective a player like Kuminga can be in random iso opportunities because it gives the offense an unpredictable option at any time when the other team is expecting pass, pass, pass, Steph lol.

The irony of this team showing how effective their offense has the potential to be when it commits to true team play. Unfortunately, Kerr would rather win his way than win at all, which sounds very similar to how LeBron operates now that I’m thinking about it.

Why can’t we have nice things lol?!

  2. Great analysis. Now Kerr will have show how good or mediocre he is at fitting the others around Curry or fitting Curry into the current scheme.

  3. It seems clear to me that getting Horford and KP was done specifically to win a playoff series against OKC.
Now we just have to see if we can get that far.

  4. Kerr should have been man enough to change his offense to include the talents of JK and JB the team would have been much better off!

  5. We need to play big, forget tiny lineups. It's nice to see that we are kind of doing that now however we have to fix the backcourt 😅 we can't have two negative defenders 😅 that won't work. One of them has to be at least a team defender and the other has to be a POA. This team has wayyy too many guards 🤣 why force a system that no longer works. The NBA punishes that nowadays 🤦

  6. You’re ignoring the problem tats keeping the warriors from being consistent and elite. They win 1 game then lose 2 games. It all comes down to Steve Kerr and his mentality get ball ideology. These 3 and 4 guard lineups are the worst. Playing pods with Spencer in your backcourt at the same time is nonsensical and then he throws in gp2 with those 2. Just unbelievable coaching. And then playing draymond he is so bad at everything nowadays just adds in to how awful of a coach Kerr is.

  7. Hey G.V great analysis. I believe the difference between Kerr and the Thunder's coach is the Thunder system is simply and he knows his players good rotations. You know like that next man up mentality, same thing that Warriors claim to have…..I heard Moses Moody when asked a few months back "How do you think the game was won so easily " Moses answered because the game was simply." Not all the trickery, threading the ball stuff. Kerr is blinded by playing favorites not what works best for the team.

  8. Would you say this means that the Curry system shows that Curry is more selfish of a player than he appears, or what is the actual adjustment that should be made so they aren't always just deferring to a double-teamed Steph all night long? It's frustrating to watch, and I'm sure Steph would want them to confidently take and make shots to help him out.

  9. Lol, the Thumbder were just lucky last year. Curry got injured in the Timberwolves matchup, and the Pacers would have upset the Thumbder if Haliburton hadn’t gotten injured in Game 7. I’m more scared of the Spurs, to be honest, they’re a force in the playoffs.

  10. Warriors finally caught up with the league after getting established centers. They’re figuring out their guards which Nate Williams and melton are the right direction. Next season we’ll have a better warriors system if we are without curry and butler . Santos made an enourmous leap this year while the surgery on Moses did help however LJ cryer is a better shooting guard. Strength in numbers!

  11. Honestly GSW could've ccreated the blueprint before the OKC except GSW never drafted bigs, the old era was drafted by defense. GSW changed the teams around for shooting. GSW drafted two greatest shooters, dray was even considered a shooter but he was also defender, once KD joined, dray forgot to shoot I believe but yeah if GSW drafted bigs before the 2 shooter, would be different

  12. Steve Kerr worst back court combination Podz and Spencer playing at the same time, both of them playing no defense, instead Steve Kerr playing Podz and GP2 or Spencer and Nate williams bc GP2 and Nate williams are great defender but Steve Kerr lineups Podz, Spencer, Gui santos, Green, Horford, it should be Spencer, GP2, Gui Santos, Green, Horford.

  13. You musn't forget that there is this special stef curry rule that says defensive teams are allowed to foul him 70 times per possession when he's off ball before it;s called as a foul and sometimes refs forget that they can whistle when he has the ball. But yeah We'll see how things go when he's back.

  14. So basically OKC offensive is like Cleveland with Kyrie and Lebron, both elite ball handler take turn iso to dismantle the defense, drive and kick out to shooter

  15. Gui in the SF role is very similar to Jimmy. Big body takes advantage of physical mismatches. What could also be a kill lineup is Porzingus, Horford, Green, Melton, Curry and if the match up is bad for horfor at the 4 switch in Gui and move Green to the 4

  16. It's actually pretty crazy how many people seem to have forgotten the value of someone the size of Porzingus on a basketball court. With him trending to health….this team can run with anyone and can even dominate most teams in the league. His ability to play in the post is something we've needed desperatly. We got a taste of it with Jimmy but he's looking to pass more than shoot in the post. With Zingus looking for his shot it forces teams to double more regularly because there isn't a single defender in the league that can reliably stop Zingus in the post

  17. Guys,

Ill sum this all up for u all without watching.. OKC is on a diff level in every category in the game of basketball. No disrespect but it’s just really not even close! I don’t just mean the players either, it all starts at the top, the construction, the selfless, the character and most importantly the identity/culture.

Zero disrespect to this story or the moderator but the long drawn out video saying so much is so easy to simplify.. You refer to ‘nxt man up’ that’s how all teams operate in any team sport, issue is u have to not only have the players for that ‘NMU’ role but u have to have the coaching and schemes to back that up. Clearly with all respect warriors no matter who is available on the team or not as constructed are barely a play-in team.

Lastly, I know this happens with all champions but the comparisons of OKC to any other team are inop. You simply can’t compare them cause the way this OKC team is constructed is like no other team in NBA history. The front office, organization, coaches and players are so very unique it will never be duplicated.

Long story short, OKC is just simply better than any other team in the league and it’s a team that have only played 42 min together as a starting unit! 42 min, think bout that and still hold the best record in the league, already cleared the 50 wins with a NBA best 50-15.. NBA is in trouble, theirs no ‘NMU’ in golden state.. 🫡

  18. Shai "doesn't have the unique shooting ability" of Steph? 🤣🤣🤣 Idiot. This is actually measured in "efficiency", dude. Look up Player Efficiency Rating, fanboy, and you'll see that SGA is ranked third (3rd) and Steph is eighteenth (18th). Shai will end up ahead of Steph in all categories with the exception of being a 3-point merchant. His greatness is in all categories, not just drawing fouls (which he also great at).
