He's frustrated with Mavs loosing. Better get used to it.
I do love a good technical foul. That's why I get so annoyed with Kidd. Like my dude, if you'd fucking stop "watching like the rest of us" & work the refs that are CLEARLY not giving your star player the respect the other team's star player is getting. Work them, pick up a tech, sometimes even get another one & get tossed. Show the players that it's HIS job to worry about the refs and that it's THEIR job to just play their game.
Then maybe you won't get more & more of "Whiney Luka". If he knows his coach has his back then he can ignore the refs a little more & focus on the game instead. But nope.
That's apparently just gonna be something about Kidd's coaching style that I will never like. He's just way too goddamn stoic. I don't mind that from my NFL coaches…I want a cool head over all the chaos. But I need more fire from my NBA coach. It's a simpler game that often comes down to a few points and where you can get a few points with just more passion & hustle than the other team. So yeah, my coach should show he gives a damn.
Granted, I don't want an NBA coach that lives or dies with every possession in every game. That's TOO much. But when your franchise star player is out there getting mugged night in & night out…EVENTUALLY you NEED to pop off!!!
So I hope Kidd can understand it now. Just like HE doesn't mind a tech from his star player here & there….the fans don't mind seeing their coach get tossed here & there in protest of how the refs are calling the game & treating the star players.
Ref bias against Mavs? Obviously. It’s been that way since decades. They have their perennial favorites like the Lakers and Warriors that they give every call, then temporary favorites like recent champions (OKC right now), then they have their hated franchises like the Mavs that they refuse to give calls. Nothing new, Mavs have always had to win despite the refs, which makes 2011 and 2024 that much more impressive because you’re playing 5v9 out there day in and day out.
Mavs can barely get calls even during home games. It’s not hard to notice 😅
Nah… Let's be honest. The refs are not giving his due. Kids getting mauled in the lane… Nothing to see here. It sucks.
The big difference with coopers tech, he doesnt quit on the team to bitch,. I heard him over the tv yell, call the goddamn foul. Luka like Lebron quits and throws a tantrum in the refs face….leading to a player advantage almost every time
Remember when Dinwiddie spouted off about the refs and the Mavs didn't get any calls for a couple weeks
Bias? The bias is against Luka. Every team has two guys whose sole job is to hit and hack Luka. I completely understand why Luka gets pissed off. Now, they are doing it to Flagg. Conversely, SGA will get two free throws just because you are reading this comment.
Go check the records yourself, the worst free-throws attempted/shots taken ratio in the NBA is always white guys, Luka, Jokic, Valanciunas, Curry etc
This has been a thing now for 8+ years, it's obviously intentional
Kidd is going to play Flagg at Center and im all for it. 😆 🤣
Ironically the Mavs statistically have the best whistle in the NBA this season, the Mavs on average get 3.6 more free throws per game than their opponent. Cooper definitely got a taste of the Dallas Luka whistle last night though, some nights Vegas just isn't on your side
jkidd is not the right coach for this team anymore
I can't believe it's 2026 and every government on earth knows every footstep I take but we're still pretending like reffing is just too difficult. There's just no way it can be done correctly. And then the whole "maybe you have to earn the right for the rules to apply to you". Just start having a referee draft since they're impacting the game as much as the players.
