Heat and Suns RED hot | Hornets COOL off | NBA RESOLVES Rozier Trade

The Charlotte Hornets saw an all-too-familiar ghost over the weekend, dropping matchups to both the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns and raising concerns about their playoff momentum. After impressive stretches, Charlotte faltered in clutch moments, letting Tyler Herro and Devin Booker steal the show while LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller struggled to keep the Hornets in rhythm. The guys examine whether this rough patch is cause for panic or simply a young, talented team hitting expected growing pains.

Hear how Walker and Doug evaluate Charlotte’s inconsistent shooting, defensive lapses, and the recent trend of second-half drop-offs for up-and-coming stars like Brandon Miller. They dive into the intricacies of the play-in race and how the surge from Atlanta, Miami, and Orlando means the Hornets have little room for error down the stretch.

The conversation heats up as the Rozier-Miami saga concludes: Charlotte sends a second-round pick to the Heat to resolve fallout from Terry Rozier’s gambling-related trade complications. Was it a fair solution, and how does this latest league intervention feel for a franchise that can’t seem to catch a break? Plus, hear sharp takes on what these losses signal for the Hornets’ playoff readiness, lineup adjustments, and what’s next on a pressure-packed West Coast road trip.

  1. Devin Bookers 15FTs would have literally put him up in our record books. The most in Hornets history is 18 by Larry Johnson in the 90s. The NBA has gotta stop treating the hornets like garbage

  2. Y’all need a better starting center. Trade miles and your first to move up in the draft. You’re all threes and no D.

  3. What’s crazy is them saying the Miami Heat didn’t do research in the trade. Hornets and The league literally buried the gambling shit. Hornets organization and the league DID NOT DISCLOSE ANY INVESTIGATION. The league did an investigation working with the Hornets and did not disclose that to the Heat. Any team would never do a trade involving any player under any investigation let alone a gambling one.

  4. We have a size problem and a number one option problem. Portland is gona want their get back at home. I’m just curious what will be said if we lose tht game because I don’t see us beating them at home especially if they get a favorable whistle just like the suns did.

  5. We got rid of the one guy tht could draw a foul or get to the rack in Sexton. Quiet as kept he had become the heart and soul of this team rather quickly. I like Coby but Tre Mann should have been shipped out instead of Sexton and thts just facts.

  6. they really settled for a lot of threes on that miami game. i know that we have been shooting well but the offense even for me as a fan was predictable. and lamelo is still taking a lot of bad shots, he needs to understand real time and adjust to a facilitator

  7. Heat just bitter cuz we're on the way up and they're on the way down. Their mid tier all stars are getting older and they're forever destined to be a 6th-8th seed playoff team.
