Giannis is probably having second thoughts about coming to the Knicks because he sees how they (Mike Brown) are using (or not using) KAT. JB has the greenlight (as he should as the 1st option) and gets his 20+ shots up. KAT as the supposed 2nd offensive option is getting maybe 10-12 shots up on average, with some games well below that number. KAT's touches have gone significantly down since last season, and even though he's been getting more touches lately its apparent that it's not at the level of urgency as it is for Bridges or OG. Mike Brown has said that he doesn't have specific plays for KAT when he has mismatches on offensive. You mean to tell me the big guy that is setting majority of the picks for Brunson, or anyone else at the top of the key, has no specific plays to take advantage of a mismatch when the defending guard gets stuck defending him? This is what Giannis has to look forward to?
So why would Giannis, knowing that he's not going to get his normal touches in this system because JB is our 1st option, come to the Knicks? To be our defensive anchor? To take the blame in the media for the team's shortcomings? Mike Brown's system isn't proven to win a championship and it isn't a system that benefits the center position. Mitch probably won't be going back to the starting line up and/or being available a full season, so Giannis will be the 5. We have enough shooters and yet we won't play a 5 out line up to maximize spacing and yet are we to believe that Mike Brown would make adjustments to maximize Giannis' potential? We'll see what happens 🤷🏾♂️

Paolo Banchero is a better option if he is ever available for a trade a young star superstar player he is younger he is going to continue to get better and you’re guranteed to have wayyyy more years with him then Giannis trading for a young star superstar player especially for the future makes more sense

On average, KAT shoots less when there's a focus to get OG, Bridges, and/or others going offensively. When they can't buy a bucket then they turn to KAT to score, so its not that KAT's offense is taking away from the team. Getting KAT 17 shot attempts was only because, aside from Brunson, no one else could generate much offense.
How about getting him more involved in the offense even when Bridges and OG are hitting shots? Maybe they wouldn't be as tired and would shoot better across a string of games.
