FREE AGENCY PREDICTIONS: What will the Cleveland Browns next big move be?

The Cleveland Browns have already started making moves in free agency, but the big question around the Dawg Pound is simple: what’s next for Andrew Berry and the front office? The Cleveland Browns entered this offseason with major needs across the roster — from the offensive line to wide receiver to depth at quarterback — and the first wave of moves may only be the beginning. As the market continues to develop, Cleveland still has opportunities to add impact talent that could shape how competitive this team is heading into the 2026 season.

Free agency is always about timing, value, and patience, and the Browns have historically waited for the right opportunity rather than overspending early. That approach opens the door for Cleveland to target veteran contributors who can fill key roles, whether that’s reinforcing the offensive line, adding another playmaker at wide receiver, or bringing in defensive depth. With the front office balancing roster needs and long-term flexibility, the next move could tell us a lot about how the Browns plan to attack both free agency and the upcoming NFL Draft.

Ultimately, every move the Browns make this offseason ties back to the bigger picture — building a roster capable of competing in the AFC. Whether it’s a surprise signing, a strategic trade, or a calculated veteran addition, Cleveland’s next big move could shift the entire conversation around the team. Browns fans know one thing for sure: in a loaded AFC North, standing still is not an option.

  1. STOP PLAYING JASON SAID EXACTLY HOW HE FELT LIKE SS IS LAZY SS BASICALLY IS STUPID HE DOESN'T PREPARE AND HE DOESN'T WORK JUST CAUSE JASON HEARD SOMETHING DOESN'T MEAN ITS TRUE COMING FROM THE ENTIRE CLEVELAND MEDIA WHO CLEARLY DOESN'T LIKE HIM AND BARELY LIKE THE BROWNS HOW CAN YOU LEARN WHEN YOU GIVEN THE LEAST OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO STOP TYVIS THOSE GUYS ZACH JASON AND JAY AND MARY K HATES MR SANDERS… HE REPORTS EVERYTHING ON SS JUST CAUSE HE HEAR SOMETHING DOESN'T MAKE IT TRUE..

  2. I completely disagree with taking a WR at 6 when they do not effect every offensive play. Besides QB a LT is both the most important and hardest to find in the draft. Monroe Freeling should be taken at 6 or at least as the 1st player taken in our draft. He is young, he is the ideal size for a LT and he is the top 1% athletically at his position. He is a better run blocker than Lomu with a better anchor. Anything you will find wrong with him is coachable or fixed by the strengh staff and reps. He will face the best Edge to ever play the game and will be mentored by Joe who is one of the greatest to ever do it. Besides if he isn't ready day one Howard, Jones and KT all can play on either side. You cannot screw this pick up and taking a WR who depends on so many things to happen right before his ability comes into play is crazy to me. He has never been a #1 receiver, not saying he can't be but he has never been the focus of the coverage and even in the biggest games of the season he dissappeared. His floor may be good but noone thinks he is Devonta Adams. Besides you can find WR's everywhere. A million comeout every year. I'd rather have Thomas Jr than Tate. WR's can't do there thing unless the QB has time to do their thing. Football starts in the trenches. Its not flashy but it has teeth.

  3. I think they need to draft two wide out with those first three picks. Jeudy is a slot and a number 3, and he'd be good in that role. Bond is their "4" and would make a great returner, gadget play guy/field stretcher. They desperately need an "X" receiver, and a good "Y" would truly be transformative. I can be talked into taking Monroe Freeling a the sixth, because he looks like he'd be an excellent left tackle and would complete the rebuild of the O-line.

They should use the rest of their free agent capital to either get a good slot corner, or a true sideline-to-sideline free safety. That would complete the defense. The third corner is needed to secure leverage in red zone situations which was a ginormous hole last season, and the new DC needs that centerfielder type safety and no one on the roster genuinely fills that bill.

That would be a roster that could grow together, and might eventually go as far as a developing Sheddeur Sanders could take them.

  4. Christian Kirk on a cheap 1 year deal, or Dortch as a returner and hes pretty limited as only a 3 or 4th WR at best.

  5. Rocket Sanders is on the roster and can run the ball kinda like Peyton Hillis. He didn’t touch the ball much bc of Ford, but he made some really good runs.
