  1. It's cool that Bam did that, but there will always be qualifiers to this accomplishment. The amount of FTs, the G League level team, and how it ended will always be there. It's like having a great tasting pizza, but the crust is a little floppy. Still an overall great pizza, but it isn't perfect.

  2. Enjoy the moment that's what makes sports awesome. Kobes pts record was gonna be passed one day or the other

  3. People are hating because it was Bam, had it been Wemby, SGA or Curry, they would be celebrated…. I hope he scores 90 in the future…. Kobe took 46 shots against a bad Toronto team winning by 18 and Wilt took 63 shots to get his 100.

  4. in 10 years no one will remember all this non sense. they will remember the 83 points. congrats to Bam

  5. They only intentionally fouled AFTER the Wizards started hacking Keshad Johnson. In the words of Lou Williams once yall start acting silly we're going to act silly in returned. Shoutout to his teammates making sure he got the shots to do it

  6. Everybody saying that this was unethical because the heat were stopping the clock also failed to realize that bam had more attention on him than kobe. Bam was triple teamed and all the fouls were legit, Bam does not get superstar calls like SGA or lebron. Bam showed dominance in a different way than others… NOBODY on that team could guard Bam without fouling him. There is literally videos showing you every foul they committed on bam.

  7. No Herro, no Norman Powell, no Andrew Wiggans, and no Ware….He had no choice but to take over from tip off!!

  8. did you watch the game? no I didn't.. what? it's great to give your opinion on something you didn't even watch. I mean you're a sports podcaster at least watch the highlights. what a freaking joke

  9. Spoelstra should feel embarrassed?? Bam is the team's captain and Spoelstra allowed him to get the record. That is him gifting something to his captain and lifelong Heat player. I see nothing wrong with it. People just mad that Kobe got knocked off the pedestal.

Also, y'all pissed that the Heat intentionally fouled to get the ball back yet will keep your mouth shut when Washington intentionally fouls down 30 to make sure Bam isn't the one getting the points.

  10. I think Brockman is just bummed on those Finals the Heat made over the Celtics…not sure why he’s so upset about this.

  11. I saw Kobe's last game. They were dishing him up from the tip off because it was officially Kobe's last Game. Adebayo was just on and rolling into the 3rd with 38 (?) the team was like "ya just get him the ball". And it was beautiful to watch. But Chris brings up a great point on the fouling.

  12. It's an amazing accomplishment. This wizards team, despite being bad, is better than the teams that covered Wilt and Kobe during their games

  13. As a Miami Heat fan, it's not uncommon for people to move the goalposts for any Miami Heat accomplishment. The NBA universe hates Miami for no reason. The hate is so forced and very lazy 😂

  14. Honestly lost a lot of respect for Wemby. Was a big fan but this was an L move on his part

  15. People are so petty and jealous. Bam didn't blow a single whistle, but he did step up and make his free throws. Wilt, the worst free throw shooter in the league took 32 and made 28 the night he scored 100 points. So petty.

  16. It went from a game of basketball with the objective being to win the game (what all games should be about first & foremost) to a laughable attempt at breaking a record, which in my opinion, taints the integrity of the game. The criticism is well deserved

  17. "We can enjoy one without tearing down one"
    – Kobe Bryant in 2018
Some people need to hear this today!
    Kobe would Love this.

  18. I bet if kobe is alive he asked lakers for a 10 day contract and try to score 85 in that 10 day contract and congratulate bam ..

People now discredit freethrows it's part of the effing game

  19. Okay, to the people judging Brockman for not watching. I was watching the Spurs and C's. I checked the box score, but saw the stat line, didn't set right, and who on EARTH wants to watch over 80 COMBINED free-throws in a single game.

  20. Kobe’s 81 was way more impressive by far. But 83 is 83 don’t matter how you get there. History doesn’t write how you got there. History writes numbers, and history will record forever.

  21. It's sad people are hating on Bams accomplishment. He started out hot and whatever happened after that doesn't matter. When Wilt got 100 points his team fed him the ball the entire second half with the goal of getting him 100, against a depleted Knicks team. The planets aligned and Bam had a great night. Grats Bam.

  22. Not a major basketball fanatic but how can you people be so negative – and critiquing someone after not even watching the game —makes show not credible -they are all elite athletes!
That wasn’t just history – that was divine!!!
    Jeremiah 29:11 !!!!
What a performance for the ages !!
Walk tall young man – you deserve to have your moment of a lifetime, and with such respect and class!! Love seeing the “underrated and average” shock the world.. . Keep going BAM !!

  23. If it was KD or Steph or someone like that no one would care, it's only because it's Bam, Brockman is a hater, well done Bam, people have a problem with everything nowadays can't make them all happy. Old heads hate seeing anything change 😂

  24. If was going to go on a talk show to discuss a record performance, I think I'd find a little time to actually watch a replay of the game.

  25. The hate on Bam is a reflection of how toxic fandom can be.

I am no fan of his but people just can’t just be happy for someone who had the greatest day at his work.

Tells you more about how bad people can be.

  26. Is funny how haters pick one action that did not end in a rapid score to try to hold their empty words. So short sighted to be blind to others potential because of what THEY think. LOOSER.

  27. The man in the cap didn't get it. The Miami Heat were leading by 25 points in the fourth quarter. Bam had no business being there, and the substitutes should have been playing. If Bam had scored those points in a close game, no one would have said anything and everyone would have applauded him. What Miami did is disgusting and ridiculous, just like the whole league.
