  1. Tonight’s game highlighted the core concerns I still have with Kenny Atkinson. not because he’s a bad coach, but because he’s a developing one who keeps running into the same patterns.

    – The rotation gets shortened too quickly, and the bench doesn’t get the trust it deserves.

    – The offense leans too heavily on Donovan ‘Spida’ Mitchell to bail things out.

    – Lineups that struggle in the first half often get rolled back out in the second without adjustments.

    – Momentum swings aren’t countered with set plays or defensive tweaks.

    – Challenges get used early with little strategic value.

And when the game needs a little controlled chaos a Tomlin burst, a Carlito disruption, someone who can flip tempo those options stay on the shelf.

None of this means Kenny can’t grow. He’s learning too. But nights like this show where that growth still needs to happen.

I’m curious how other Cavs fans see it:

Is this just part of the coaching development curve, or are these habits holding the team back from maximizing its depth?

  2. Yes we lost that series, but OGs remember that deep 3 point buzzer beater LeBron had vs them. My dad got to go to the game, getting lucky to get a ticket from his work company. He said he couldn't hear himself cheer when LeBron hit that shot

  3. Love the start Mack. You’re a great story teller!

On the game, again, Tyson should have started. Whenever he comes off the bench I swear he has next to no impact offensively. Only 4 shot attempts. Mobley also got pushed around a lot in the paint. We miss Allen a lot especially for this physical matchup. On a positive note, I thought Harden, Ellis and Bryant played great!

Some of those calls by the refs pissed me off though

  4. Also people have to respect scheduling. Cavs beat them twice already but with that being said the flaws are the flaws. Team is physically outmatched. 😊

  5. You see why JA is so important, when we are forced to play 4 gaurds you just end up being dominated physically, which means your often needing to foul as guys come into the lane
