You are being LIED to – A look at the numbers

Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, James Harden: All NBA legends who at multiple times in their careers averaged more than 10 free throw attempts per game.

But what about the “free throw merchant”, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander?

“Where does the foul baiting narrative come from?”

In this video, we break down Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s style of play and how it is no different than every other star in the league now and within all of NBA history.

  1. If you don't watch NBA every day, the foul baiting makes sense. But that's not my full issue. It's the flopping quality. All the meme moments he has that go more viral than him scoring 40+. If the MVP of the league looks like a baby when his body hits someone else and he gets the call? 2+2 from that moment sticks. The FT point he made just came up, like Kobe had the stone cold mamba mentality. MJ is f*cking MJ. SGA doesn't have that same seriousness around him all the time, unless you get him mad.

  2. This is a great video! Can you please send this to all the networks (especially Doris Burke) – I know we are all so tired of this false narrative against SGA.

  3. If it's a problem with how he draws them, then at least 4 or so should be fake or unethical FTS, then he should have about 9 real ones + the 4 extra fake ones. If not then he's getting scrubbed on the real fouls

  4. the thunder have a system that appreciates the traditional aspect of basketball instead of buying into this “new style” of basketball. the ability to have a team that is a threat at all three-levels and encourages the diversity in scoring. it puts a much bigger threat and increases the opportunity for offensive success when one mode of scoring becomes stagnant. the real problem is; the media has made guys across the NBA truly believe they can stop Shai and when that reality isn’t validated in real time, the narrative/propaganda grows. no one has this take on guys like MJ and Kobe because the media never convinced guy that they were adequate of stopping them. i believe with the new surge of gentrifying the NBA this narrative has grown in order to promote other players.

  5. Thank you!!!! Not to mention that teams who win are fouled a ton at the end of games. If you look at the first 7/8th of every game the Thunder have got to be one of the lowest in the league for taking FT. And for Shai, I think he's got the highest amount of missed calls. The style of game he's playing should be 12 FTs a game easy. There's got to be 5+ obvious missed calls every game. I don't think it's the players job to argue with the refs but rather the coaches need to get onto the refs more. Mark Dags needs to be ejected more often to argue for Shai. Thunder Up.

  6. Unfortunately the people falling for this narrative won't want this because its not a 9 second clip

  7. The haters don’t give a SHIT about the numbers. And they are too stupid to realize what those numbers mean. Idiots will continue to spew that narrative and won’t even realize THEY are clueless! Ignorance is bliss!

  8. thank you.. you've said exactly what ive been thinking. never miss an okc game, so its baffling the narrative but i get it, can always tell when someone has watched a 3 min reel of something and never a full game lol. well well done sir

  9. Thank the lord someone did a video…the jealousy and hate is real out there…i argue until im blie in the face. Good video…no great video

  10. BAM shooting a record high of 43 free throws in a single game ; 50 percent of his 83 record high – if that was Shai America would be going nuts rn – very unreasonable

  11. 8:20 do this same segment on Wemby. Biggest guy in the stadium and his back looks like he gets shocked with 1000 volts any time someone puts muscle on him lol
