I have been a hardcore Lakers and basketball fan since 1985. I NEVER missed a Lakers game and would watch lots of other games. I haven't even watched more than 10 Lakers games since Kobe left. The game is so boring now.

I dont know if he's right or wrong about the 3's but the game is a about winning. Steph Curry and the Warriors at their peak taught us that they could dog walk the best defensive teams and good teams who didn't shoot a lot of 3's.

It is apparently lost on Colin and the people in this thread that the plaza surrounding the arena is a giant tourist attraction and the statues are part of the attraction. They have statues of Oscar Dela Hoya and Chick Hearn. They are definitely gonna have a statue of LeBron.
No Statue!! What has Lebron actually accomplished being a Laker since 2019. One Micky Mouse Title, 4 Head coaches, 95 different players, 6 – 4 playoff series losses with 3 first round loses, 28 – 25 playoff games. No defense and constant flopping and whining. Personal records – All-time leading scorer, Most career field goals, career minutes, most all-star selections. most double digit games. Playing for 22 years suggest stat padding because he want to set NBA records that will make people think he is the GOAT!!!

I dont get why people are mad at lebron this much. Need to appreciate what he did or tried to do. Last 5 years pre lebron lakers were so bad. Nobody wanted to go there. Covid ring, fine take it away. It wasnt lebrons fault it just went right that year. They didnt get a chance to run it back because team was broken up. Lakers only got Luka through a very very lucky trade. Man, Elgin Baylor and Jerry West don’t get talked about enough. Same goes for so many pre Magic and Larry NBA. LeBron doesn’t deserve s statue in LA. Cleveland and Miami sure. I can’t stand LeBalco but he deserves Cleveland and Miami statues.
The things hurting the NBA:
1. Overreliance on the 3. It makes watching every team feel too much of the same.
2. Availability of games. It should be easy to watch your team play no matter where you are.
3. Foul baiting. Players like SGA, Harden, etc have slowly turned the game into a contest to see who can trick the other team into touching them, instead of trying to actually score.
4. Mediq coverage. NBA coverage is embarrassing. Seriously, colin and horry just talked about if lebron deserves a statue while the lakers are actively making a playoff run. There are other teams, real stories, all sorts of interesting stuff. Nope, lebron lebron lebron. All day every day
What chemistry does a 41-year-old almost retired basketball player have with younger bucks very little to none.. The Lakers spent A LOT of seasons being trash, WITH Kobe on the team. There was a whole decade between Kobe's last chip and the bubble chip. They are quite capable of going back to being trash. Legacy means absolutely nothing. Matter of fact, the Lakers and the Knicks are the 2 most whiny fan bases and star players have routinely avoided them over the last 2 decades. LeBron picked them in free agency to revitalize that franchise. Brunson was a gift from the heavens, otherwise the Knicks would still be avoided 😂.
