Nice flop by jokic. He fell like he had been shot.
4:09 so delusional no jokic was not the better player that series 😂
Look at their net ratings. SGA net rating is +9.11. Jokić net rating is +14.88. Jokic is clearly much more valuable to his team than SGA is to his. Thunder without SGA would still win 50+ games and make the playoffs. Nuggets without Jokic would barely win 25-30 games and won’t make the playoffs. How come this isn’t taken into account when voting??
4:20 that lady really thinks SGA is better than Jokic because of their head to head games tho season?? Are you joking? One team is clearly much deeper and better. Both teams have been injured this season. How many triple doubles does SGA have? Only 2 in his career! Jokic tied that with his last three games. Just stop it already.
Ramona Shelburne: “ after this game, and after this regular season series between the two teams, I feel like SGA is the better player. He didn’t just hit one dagger, he hit two—he hit three! He just kept coming with the daggers.”
The only problem is that this also describes Jokić’s game last night. So if the metric is hitting clutch daggers at the end of the game, that’s not at all something Jokić doesn’t/didn’t do.
Anyone can hit a buzzer beater at any game but can anyone lead the league in rebounds and assist in a single season..
So far just two.
2x MVP ⚡️⚡️
The Knicks will get exposed in the Playoffs. AS USUAL! 😅
Why does espn insist on putting clueless inexperienced women on all their NBA coverage? It’s DEI Nonsense. ESPN sucks
1:37 "That's a foul" yeah on Shai for a full extension pushoff! You can't be seriously saying Braun fouled him. Unreal. Not even, he didn't touch him. How do you go from fully covered Braun and a split second later he's 10 feet away scrambling to recover? Pushoff. That's how.
When was the voting for the MVP ?
Did I, did I miss something ?
My neighbor wants to know ( he is not from here )
what happens when the pushoff free throws merchant
gets bounced from the playoffs finals ?
As a Nuggets fan, it's not surprising they want to give the award to him instead of Jokic again. That's fine. Jokic and Denver care more about winning the title than an MVP.
Tough shot for sure but he's guarded by a rookie who came up on a 2 way contract, basically a g-leaguer. He overcommitted trying to get the steal on a pass he didn't need to which caused him to be late to rotate out. Props to Shai for hitting the shot. He played great all night.
That 3 before when Braun was guarding him was a full extension pushoff. Pretty apparent, especially how Braun is smothering him one second and 10 feet away the next.
Yall acting like Jokic didn't have a clutch MVP performance himself. He brought his team back from down 9 or 10 late in the 4th to tie it up. Shai just had the last shot. Timing and possession is all that came down to.
Saying he secured the MVP by hitting a buzzer beater in a head to head matchup even though they're polar opposites and will never guard each other, is just lazy by the media. A paid hype job.
5:37 "all but ended it"? You've got to be paid to have such a take. Jokic dropped a 35 point triple double while bringing his team back to tie it up with 1 possession to go in the game while being down 10. Hitting clutch shot after clutch shot. The only reason he didn't hit a game winner is because he didn't have the chance. There's still nearly 20 games to go. Yall just wanna give it him despite the fact that Joker had it stolen last year and he's having an even better season this year!
As normal, Luka is an after thought. Just doesn't fit the ESPN narrative. Doesn't matter what he does on the court.
Kawhi is drinking the Paul George secret drink.
No one knows right now who will be MVP.
OKC lost a couple of games and narrative changed for Shai 😊
A lot of flip-flopping on the MVP conversation.
Let's hope Adam Silver do the right thing and suspend the 65 game deadline and review it.
The games are exciting.
I am enjoying them every night.
Even if sga won mvp he will never be better than jokic.
Wiggins was like “This mf done did it again” 😂
If the joke falls down from that what would he do if it was a punch ? Better not act hard if you’re going to fall down over that because a man would be like that’s all you got
Someone go after his knees or ankle then he cry about it.
If they all don’t have 65 games and someone else wins fans and players will cry. Then they’ll need to change the rules. If it’s a ligament in hurt by another dr not from the league then they’ll excuse a certain amount. 😅
Who cares? It was just a game of basketball he has played.
Not having wemby head to head with shai for the MVP is bogus ! The guy is the best two way player in the game leading the team to the first place right now ,destroying OKC durring the regular season. It just shows that most of the tv analysts don’t even know the game they get paid to analyse
Shai has locked down the art of flopping he ain’t the mvp
Kinda bad defense though
Yeah everyone is now taking for granted Jokic numbers.
2:33 they dont know my guy wiggs
The reason I think Jokić is definitively this season‘s MVP is that SGA is simply not putting up the same type of numbers that Jokić is. Jokić is a team player. He can put up. 15 rebounds 15 assists in a couple steals with 30 points thrown in on top on pretty much any given night. He impacts the game in such an incredible manner, every single time, and If that’s not the definition of an MVP I don’t know what is.
