The Cavaliers got SCREWED by a STUPID NBA RULE for the 2nd time in as many weeks in loss to Magic…
Desmond Bane had a 3-pointer and two free throws in the final 17.4 seconds to cap a 35-point night and help the Orlando Magic hold off the Cleveland Cavaliers 128-122 on Wednesday for their fifth straight victory.
Paolo Banchero added 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Magic. Tristan da Silva scored nine of his 23 points in the fourth quarter.
James Harden had 30 points and eights assists for Cleveland. Donovan Mitchell added 25 points, hitting a 3-pointer that brought the Cavaliers within two after Orlando led by 13 midway through the fourth quarter.
Bane countered with a 3-pointer as he was falling out of bounds with 17.4 seconds left, then added two free throws with eight seconds remaining.
Three 3-pointers by Keon Ellis, who finished with 20 points, keyed the late comeback of the Cavaliers.
Evan Mobley had 18 points and 13 rebounds for Cleveland. The Cavaliers have lost five of nine after winning seven straight.
Mitchell and Harden each scored 16 points in the first half, but the Cavaliers missed 11 of 12 3-point shots in the second quarter and were tied at 62 at halftime. Harden opened the second half with a 3-pointer, but Mobley was called for his fourth foul just 35 seconds into the third quarter. | https://www.espn.com/nba/recap/_/gameId/401810802

The refs were terrible..the Cavs defensive rotation is bad, we gave up too many open threes at the end when we were coming back..Mobley can’t miss 6 FTs, the Cavs as a team missed like 12, and also the challenge thing is terrible..the one with Ellis why are we penalized for the refs making a wrong call..after it was changed smh..
Not a big fan of the excuses, even if the refs weren’t good. Cavs defense was not good at all last night. They didn’t show up prepared
Does it hurt to allow harden to shoot 9 more times? Let Donovan and harden shoot 25 times a game and let the rest split the 40-50 times. It’s not helpful the only way harden can have a high scoring game is if he’s shooting lights out 60+ percent
Cavs aren’t using their challenges wisely. It’s not only the Cavs getting screwed by it. The coach is suspect with his rotation and way he challenged so early in the game. Even if you are winning. Wait until the end of game to use in game changing situations NOT PR’s
No they didn’t get screwed by a stupid nba rule. I think a lot of teams figure they just have to be more physical against them to beat them and honestly that seems to be their Achilles heel. I hope after this season Cavs grab some guys that know how to bang. EV4 gets beat up when he’s up against physical guys. JA does a bit better but he’s also not a banger. Cavs should’ve went with Bryant sooner and for longer.
Review anything close under 2 min
The refs SHOULD have went ahead and reviewed the play on their own! I'll say it again…the constant POOR reffing is a HUGE problem in the nba and it is affecting the integrity of the game
Losers whine about the refs. How about not being down double digits late in the fourth? How about not being a position to let the refs decide a game against a team you're supposed to be better than?
Refs dont even try to hide it anymore its actualy disgusting. The NBA will be cooked once Lebron Curry KD Harden Russ and a few other retier, people are getting tired of refs deciding games and not being held accountable by the NBA
reviews from the ‘booth’ in the last 2 mins of the 4th and ot
In the last two minutes coaches could be able to sacrifice a remaining timeout for a challenge. If both teams are down to one timeout left there’s going to be the stoppage anyways, so deciding whether to save that timeout or use it for a challenge would be the main decision. Doesn’t extend games and makes sure if there’s an egregiously bad call that it can be challenged
yeah, it was the ref 83, mf is sus af the same mf that Schroder gets his shot blocked the ball doesn't touch him and he calls Orlando ball…
Make your effing free throws and the result would (probably)be a win.
NFL replays> NBA replays
The athletes aren’t better than they ever been before. Please stop. The proof is in the product. And the diminishing ratings per population.
OR…. use your challenges better! Maybe I'm just different 🤷
So they should have an infinite amount of challenges if they get them all right ? Do they think people want to watch an NBA game for 4 to 5 hours
I used to be a high school basketball ref in mostly Lorain county
How about this for a rule
Unlimited challenges but
If your challenge fails the other team gets a single non possession free throw
What do you think???
They need an all-star borderline superstar big
Silver lining is Cavs beat them twice already shouldn’t expect to sweep them. But the game shows some relevant issues such as Kenny Atkinson
I'm much more concerned with the Cavs consistently getting rattled by competitive teams.
The Cavs screwed themselves because they're overrated
Dean Wade is the problem
how about 'Spida' just show up on the defensive end every now and then and it won't matter?
Bull how do you call yourself a commentator of sports but don't kno basketball well enuff n admit it yeah yeah yeah a joke
Silver needs to just drop ai refs so corruption can’t exist. It’s not like you can ever stop gambling from existing.
I hate blaming refs, but i cannot stop thinking back to that phoenix game.
It's like the refs and who's agreeing with this rule wants wrong calls to be included in the game! You win 2 times after a refs miscall and they like "ok, you get no more!" The people who run it doesn't want to take the power of altering the game! Think about this crap! Teams only get 2 times to challenge VS how many bad & missed calls you see in one game! Its nothing. And they don't want you to use a challenge by threatening you by taking a timeout.
it’s not on the refs the cas gave up 128 points and couldn’t stay in front of bane and struggled with majic size which is a problem for the cavs. and the achilles heal for the cavs they help when unnecessary way too often resulting in open looks and have lazy close outs and or are way to late and play like they don’t know how to anticipate
Cavaliers got screwed by having a soft front court. Mobley is the dollar store Wemby, and Allen plays basketball like he's a mommy's boy. Have any of you ever seen either one of them go at their opponent so hard they they almost came to blows because it got so intense? exactly
Harden should shoot more shots.. fuk that referring shi.. yeah get your ast.. but him and Donovan gotta shoot 30 times each.. the rest of the team should eat crumbs around them
I can solve the challange issue. Unlimited challenges until you get one wrong. If they complain it slows the game down, the refs can should get better!!
Get Bull of Cavs segments, he doesnt like basketball. Always b!tching about the reg szn and rushing the segment
How about the Cavs just play defense and actually make the other teams work for good shots rather than complaining about the refs?
Kenny is one of the worst coaches in the league they’re going nowhere
Vince chillini used to be a Cleveland sports guy before bull was around 😂😂😂
Q400:20.3 Stoppage: Out-of-BoundsJames HardenPaolo BancheroCCVideo Comment:Harden (CLE) is the last player to touch the ball before the ball goes out of bounds. Possession is correctly awarded to the Magic.
I think the cavs lost because they didn't play well, I also think that the rule should be you get unlimited until you get it wrong. Why should you be penalized if the refs are having a bad game because they are human too and can have poor nights.
We need Jarrett Allen back….ASAP
Bull stop saying you don't care. You're on the show you gotta care and yeah we want the playoffs too. We know you don't like basketball but pretend
That's why the Cavs lost lol. Not because the Magic outplayed them
Jason Schoder will be fine he has to be in the rotation
The reason it takes so long is GAMBLING! They gotta check the odds on certain calls. The actual review of what happens in the reply takes 30 seconds tops.
Glad I didn’t watch with the stupidity behind that rule and what sounds like a night of poor officiating
But harden touched the ball so we would have lost the Challenge
Ot you should get another challenge
