Note to all young hoopers worldwide: Oppurtunites are few and far between in life so if you find yourself on the outside looking in you have to stay ready so you don't have to get ready..take your lumps embrace that pain stay humble stay on your grind block out the outside noise then when that opportunity knocks on your door you can gladly open it and show yourself and the opportunity what you're made of.
I started watching the NBA when the Knicks-Bulls rivalry was just beginning in the 90’s. Players like John Starks and Anthony Mason who came from the CBA and ended up competing with the best players in the league made for fascinating stories.
Celtics fan here. I didn't hate a player or team more than John Starks and the Kicks. Of course, that was only due to how hard he played and how he killed us. He was such a hardnosed player. Great pro. He would have succeeded with any team. He refused to lose. he refused to fail.
