  1. J.Timpf :
    Nuggets Lose
"omg, Nuggets are back , they are amazing"
    Spurs Lose
"woawww Spurs played amazing , they look great, I loved it"
    Twolves get smashed
"Twolves look like a legit contender , they are in my 2nd tier behind OKC"

    Lakers lose

"Here s why Lakers are in my tier 5"

this guy is always 2-3 weeks late.

Now watch him, make a video about how the Lakers are so back (within 2-3 weeks ofc)

  2. All credit to JB. I used to be low on him but this year he's been incredible. Lu and Cason were playing amazing defense last night but that meant nothing to Jaylen. That man SGA is something different though. Can't remember the last time I've seen him miss a middy in the clutch

  3. Mark Daigneault just have a team of top 1st round picks, that doesn't make him a good coach. Anyone can take that team to the finals.

JB is better than Tatum defensively and offensively. Tatum can get hot on offense but he isn't as consistent as JB. Who was the finals mvp among the two?

  4. Jason said okc n bos are the best organizations itl from a basketball philosophy standpoint etc…I agree! N im just saying both okc n bos basketball philosophy differs from Jason’s when it comes to the value of TWO WAY play from your stars

I still maintain Jason is too high on “half court surgeons” n not respectful enough of two way play/motor n visa versa – a player with real negatives in his game hurts the team even if they’re a star player

  5. SGA: 39 minutes. 35 pts on 13/18. 7-8 FTs. 6 rbs, 9 ast, 2 stl, 3 blk, 4 TOs, +14

    JB: 41 minutes. 34 pts on 10/25. 13-14 FTs. 6 rbs, 7 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk, 6 TOs, -10

    There’s levels to this.

  6. Jaylen Brown's clown ass brought up foul baiting in his post game and said it's not basketball. It's unfortunate someone didn't point out to him that he shot five more free throws than anyone else in that game, and he flopped on that last Dort foul that allowed them to tie the game. All due respect to Brown, STFU and be better on defense.

  7. Am I the only one that couldn't care less about statistical scoring streaks in the NBA? This is especially true nowadays where you can't really even play what used to be considered defense without fouling out. Stats in the NBA (and NFL) can't be compared to the past because the game has changed to give every advantage to offensive players.

  8. Thanks for taking into account how professional and focused Luka has been, especially considering how fraught his personal life is right now…not being able to see your kids for months on end, going through a break up: that is hard for anyone.

  9. shai and thunder are great but spurs are less than 3 games away, dominated them all season, and also has a unstoppable force in wemby. Whatever tier thunder are in spurs need to be right there with them.

  10. Mailbag repeat question from the other day.. It occurred more predominantly a few years ago but why do head coaches get recycled more in the NBA relative to say the NFL, is it due to their specific systems being more sensitive to the roster they have? I love and appreciate the show!

  11. It’s not just the last 10 games or since the All Star break. Luka was the Player of the Month in the Western conference in January. The same conference shared by Shai and Jokic. Luka has been on a tear since January 1st, 2026. He’s been shooting the 3pt at 40% since then.

  12. Jb need to stop crying SOOO much ,,,n jus try n get the mvp…DANG…n really he jus bully to basket …so come on…like he said “ jus play basketball jb and figure the flippers out….THATS WHAT HE MAD ABOUT N CRYING …he took more fouls shots last night COME ON YALL ENUFF

  13. I watch every Thunder game. I'm not putting them in their own tier. Denver, Boston, San Antonio, even Minnesota, all have decent to great chances to win against them (much as I wish otherwise). The shooting just isn't good enough from the defensive role players.

  14. That size advantage on the wing goes away when Hartenstein is back at 5, Chet at 4, and J Dub at 3. Even SGA is 6’ 6” at point. OKC will have the size advantage when healthy

  15. We are officially in the stage of the season where lakers fans get a couple cheap wins and start calling themselves title contenders.. the lakers in 5 stage is next, then they’ll go home round 1

  16. Need Lebron to play around 32-34 minutes a night so he can get out run and expend more energy on defense. Can’t have him playing 38+ minutes like Luka and AR at his age.

  17. JB was great last night but he wasn’t anywhere near the player SGA was. SGA was 13/18 from the field only missing 5 shots from the field (72.22%). So 28 of his 35 were shots from the field; Where as JB 10/25 shot more shots and made fewer of them on lower efficiency missing 7 shots from the field (40%). In this game JB was not even close to the same level of player that SGA was!

    Bonus Stats:
SGA is called a free throw merchant but only 24.95% of his points on the season come from free throws and if you want to break it down further (sense all the coaches around the league have been whining abt SGA’s whistle) sense he came back from injury only 20.81% of his points are from the charity stripe.

  18. You keep emphasizing "This stretch" when it comes to Luka – this is just the most healthy he has been in his time with the Lakers. He is back to moving like he was in spring 2024. The problem with you Jason, is that you refused to put Luka's prior "struggles" into proper context while you always make sure to put Lebron's struggles into context.

  19. Get well soon JT! Good breakdown per usual

My opinion on 9:44: that's especially the case when Dort and Caruso continually set uncalled illegal screens and hold a defender yet flop and fall and earn bogus fouls… which influences the flow of the game, the bad officiating, and a mental annoyance.

Shai is obviously an all time great midrange shooter with great footwork and ball fakes, but again a lot of that threat gravity is coming from teammates being allowed to break the rules in facilitation to him getting into the paint.

Queta got called for offensive fouls on minimal movement contact on screens which directly influenced JB getting separation on PnR drives.
Dort and Caruso were holding jerseys, hugging, falling, and flopping the ENTIRE night with very few calls against them. JB legit should have legitimately 20 free throws with all the garbage that those two are allowed to get away with.

  20. Celtics match up well against thunder. Vuj changes the equation. Vuj at 5 eats up chet. Chet on offense and staying on perimeter? no problem.. slap Tatum on Chet and Chet would look silly. Vuj on the other hand will look like Jokic againts the rest of thunder players. Full strength Celtics and Spurs will give OKC problems

  21. Shai is not only runaway mvp .. he reminds me of early 90s MJ…. Clearly the difference maker in a marquee matchup. The Bulls boasted similar top D with MJ's elite scoring and clutch play… as the modern day Thunder

  22. Holy cow. I have to watch five Marriott ads just to get through the Nuggets segment. I like your content, but not that much.

  23. I’m cerious to know how you think jdub and ihart would have an effect on Jalen getting into the paint how he did last night with them on the floor bc jdub is his primary defender when they matchup healthy

  24. Luka and LeBron were playing great defence and tanking Chicago scored 130. Math ain't mathing.

  25. Denver's small ball line up almost killed the game in the 1st quarter. Watch the replay. That 4 guard look with Jokic in the middle was not good. That's when the Spurs blew the Nuggets out of the water. Had a different strategy been used, maybe the Nuggets didn't have to fight back so hard? My concern was that Jokic, Jamal, and Braun all logged 40 mins give or take. That's how players get gassed, and potentially injured. Had you not dug yourself in the hole to begin with, they might have played less. Anytime that 4 guard line up is on the floor, its hard to watch. Just an observation.

  26. Love that the lakers are winning so when they get flattened in the first round it will be that much sweater

  27. 8:48 I COMPLETELY AGREE!! I love JB but he's not a TRUE top 5 player especially when certain guys are actually healthy. And he's not better then Luka, Shai, Jokic, Giannis, AND Tatum lol

  28. Jason was dead on with what he said about Bron taking the needed role when AR isn’t playing trash. He was hurt, so LeBron filled the gap.

  29. Luka is the best player in the world when he's healthy, and his mind is right. I think now that he's dealt with some of his personal issues, he will become a monster, and the Lakers will be very dangerous in the playoffs.

  30. Kawhi's 45 was FAR more impressive than Luka's 51 given his shooting percentage. Also, the Lakers proved they are 1st. Round losers for sure, given the fact that they are incapable of playing defense. They gave up 130 points to the Bulls! The Bulls!!! And that was in regulation with no overtime! Their team is the most top-heavy in the league and they have no bench.

They're done before they even start!!!

  31. On the question of Jaylen Brown's MVP candidacy, there is the question of "Best" vs "Valuable".

While the coaching staff gets a lot of credit for the performance of back-of-the-rotation players, the on court leader(s) do too. And their influence includes practice and when they're off the floor. So the ± for Brown should not be a factor compared to the teams overall performance. The idiom, "Makes his teammates better" goes beyond the play-by-play benefit, it includes the overall mindset.

If voting happened today, the All-NBA first team might be SGA, Jokic, Wemby, Brown, and Cade. The Spurs and Pistons were expected to be better than last year. The Thunder and Nuggets were expected to be as good as last year. The Celtics were expected to be worse than last year, but they aren't. To put the brakes on the bad season and get the team to the fourth best record in the league is why Brown has been getting consideration as "a legitimate MVP candidate".
