if you thought BI was gonna turn you into some contender when you dont have a legit number 1 scoring option, with bad roster construction and one of the worst spacing in the league, as well as being undersized, you were probably drinking the spiked coolaid.
and if the day trading for BI was short cutting a rebuild after 1 year that turned the raptors into a playin/borderline playoff team. they are gonna be stuck there till contracts expire in a few years. because ownership wont pay luxury tax, and the team is too expensive to build and fill out the rest of the roster when they cant go over luxury tax.
the team was as is 1 BI injury away from being late lottery anyways. BI playing injured is probably worse than him just sitting out and healing cuz he wont be healthy for playin/ first round bounces.
moral of the story, you cant short cut a 4 year rebuild. and bobby webster doesnt understand proper roster construction and spacing to optimize players and team.
the best thing that can happen is raptors drop into play in and lose to hornets and get a late lottery pick
Hang in there Ben and don't get caught up in unrealistic hopes. The Raps were never going to beat the Rockets or any other top 10 team. Size and elite shooting are going to stop them every time. Tonight even more so without Poeltl, CMB and TJD. What the Raptors need to make the next step can only be had in the draft, trades and signings in the offseason. Until then what we have is a middle of the pack team. There are things that the Raps can continue to work on but this roster is not going to beat top 10 teams.
That said I get very frustrated too. I turned the game off when the Raps went down 12 in the fourth. The game wasn't bad until then considering the Raps injuries. I actually enjoyed the last 4 minutes of the 3rd when Battle, Shed, Walter and Dick came out with energy reminiscent of some of the hot bench lines from last season. I think I had more fun back when we were sort of tanking. Cheers Ben.
Quickley has been so frustrating to watch at times. Ingram also looks kind’ve lazy out there recently on the defensive end. Not enough buy in.
Changes need to be made this offseason
Sick of watching this team shit the bed. Bobby Webster shit the bed at the deadline. Sick of hearing "part of the process" when they could have re wrote the process, now the hornets are a much better team. Seems like all their plays feed B.I at the arc which makes it too easy for D to close in and the 3 ball is killing them .Fuck Bobby Webster, his inaction makes me sick.
This team is not good
I just don’t understand what’s going on. BI should be the bucket getter or at least in a dump be able to end it. He’s a great midrange shooter but HOLY MOLY!!!! Why are we fading a way against Jabari who’s tall as shi not only that doing it 5 sec into the shot clock.

Problems with this raptors team:
1) Spacing: imagine your two best players are paint and mid range assassins and yet you surround them with weaklings from 3pt that can’t shoot to save their life’s.
2) Coach: Darko is a bad coach that doesn’t understand lineup and adjustments. This man would have Scottie and BI on the bench at the same time. Even the Celtics don’t even do that with Brown and Tatum. Also man forces the offense through BI in the fourth, Runs no play for
Scottie, runs no play for the shooters he has to get them open.
3) Point: IQ is hella inconsistent and has no rim pressure, 3pt also inconsistent too. Passing is average.
This are the raptors problems, the worst is between the spacing and Darko cuz his coaching and lineup have made us lose about 15 games this year.

I don’t understand why people are pressed. Raptors have the same problems since the start of the season that has never been addressed. Inconsistent bench and inconsistent center spot. IE this team lacks depth. It’s a joke upsetting yourself over not beating contenders(who have roster depth). Offseason definitely needs reconstructing.

why be frustrated when you know Jakob has been hurt for most the season and we are without our second best defender in CMB. those 2 players are key components in winning. no need to be frustrated. we will be okay. don’t overreact Raptor fans. even if we are a first round exit lets be grateful we are even in the playoffs. baby steps yall baby steps

They lost their identity which starts on the defensive end and sharing the ball on offense. Only when shots are hard to come by , go to Ingram or Scottie iso. Definitely need an improved team in the off season. They did over Achieve, but the free fall makes this looks worst than it is

The Raptors lack professional winning players. There are few, if any, of those players in the league, which is why there's so much parity. That said, I'm not sold on the coach anymore. His game decisions are more suspect than Nick Nurse's – and the bench is not very good.
For every great play by Shed on D , he follows it up by 2 horrible turnovers or missed shots. Wish we kept Davion instead.
If it wasn't for the Raps Mo Petersons horrible D , Kobe never makes that record… Bam has legit talent.
i wish they actually watched these videos, especially the players – they could learn from the mistakes a ton and apply these to the games instead of always getting caught in these runs

Darko doesn't play his players strengths. He relies on rotations to thwart the defense because he thinks he's sharp. He's not the coach of this team's future. He's not. Also B.I is in a slump, which I'm confidant he will shake, but right now, he's cold and it's impacting us considerably.
I’m waiting to see what front office is up to… we just don’t have a balance team.. shead shld be sprinkled for development but not to lead the guard position… 🦖 can’t even blame Darko yet. BI is very predictable and teams are just getting physical with him.🦖🦖🦖

This team can’t shoot. Feels like they take open 3s to keep the other team honest but they are not great shots – guys are not hunting these shots down. Years and years of poor shooting. You aren’t winning in the modern NBA without shooting. I like IQ but his drives are ineffective. Lowry would get to the paint – attack then make something happen. For I Q it’s a weak floater that he finishes 25% of the time or a turn over. He is either a back uo or heeds to play off the ball. Watching this a day after – 4th quarter collapse againt the Pels. Couldn’t make wide open shots – generated zero offence i love Shead too but he is a bad shooter point blank. We still have a long way to go. If your beat player us not a primary scoring option you are going to beed to shooters surrounding him. Instead we will look for a rangy wing who is a project that can’t shoot. We drafted in shooter – Grady and it turns out he is a bad shooter. Like the kid, like the effort but he just isn’t very good
