I'm thinking the only way to enjoy (and stay sane) as a sports fan is to have no expectations. Don't know if I can do that. People "doom" and go out on a team to try to stop hoping and therefore avoid more angst.

This game falls on schemes and rotations I would say they do have a shot if they fix their problems and that's defense so I believe when Watson gets healthy he gets out as the 2 guard have. Murray at the 1 he is a small defender for a 2 guard the NBA coaches call him the "easy target" you clear that with Watson as he is a big guard/forward with a 7'1 wingspan and also is a great perimeter shooter at 41.6% and defense he is solid then braun at 3 he is also a decent defender which can still bring it even though he is digressing that if you out him on the bench you can lose him entirely Gordon to me is the 2nd best player on this squad the things he does for this team can't be said enough, and joker is also their best defender like by a big margin. I would put straw to run the offense on the bench side of things with both thj and Johnson and Zeke or move Johnson at the 4 and put bruce at the 3 and big val. They have a shot to run this lineup but can they and would they once everyone is healthy but they also have 14 games remaining is that enough time to gel? Idk tbh 🤷🏻♂️
Edit: actually if CB continues to struggle and is done out Spencer Jones at the 3 he can shoot can attack the rim and is also a very good defender not as good as Braun even still but you have real offense with Jones and a defender too.

I just don’t think pairing a rookie head coach with a veteran team like this was a well thought out idea. Also Nuggets are 6th in the West. Sure they’re good but not championship great. We have enough evidence to see they are not good enough. Beginning of the season is a mirage, first 20 games are basically preseason.
Not here to troll but point of clarification on the Reaves purposeful miss. JJ said he mistakenly called for a miss to the right because he thought that’s where each team only had one player. In reality, they changed sides and Reaves correctly missed to the side where there were less players/less traffic. Not saying it’s wasn’t improbable or even lucky. Obviously it’s a super low percentage outcome but just saying I do believe he intended to miss to the left.
After years, I'm starting to think the Nuggets are a low 50s win team and a second round exit that happened to get a few lucky breaks in 2023.

Adelman is a horrible coach. Malone is a much better coach. Nuggets will not win another championship under this coaching staff and general manager.

As mentioned in the comments on the previous videos, CB can't defend the perimeter when the opponent is taller, faster, or has a good mid-range shot. It already happened with Castle, Vassel, SGA, and now with Luka and LeBron.
In any case, Jamal lost this game. His awful shooting and decision-making can be attributed to fatigue or discomfort, even his complete lack of one-on-one defense. However, consistently being late to the rotation and allowing the opposing team to score from the corner is a matter of attitude.
The best thing that happened to the team was him picking up his fourth foul. Nikola, THJ, Spencer, Cam, AG, and all the other players got into the rotation well, preventing those open shots from the corner. And it's not just today's game.
Braun needs to lose his starting spot. The Nuggets can't win a chip with a shooting guard shooting 28% from the 3 (it hasn't happened since Dwayne Wade in 2007). Teams aren't guarding Braun. This is Facundo Compazzo all over again. If they sit Braun the Nuggets will win the chip. It's criminal to throw away the season because they made a mistake on Braun's contract. Braun is still young enough and hard working there is time for his shot to improve. Don't throw away this season!!

Adelman needs to go. His decision making tactics in crunch time is just awful. Like his decision to foul the Laker players when they were up by 3 points with little time left was just terrible and I believe the Lakers had no time outs left so all the Denver Nuggets had to do was just defend without FOULING. I really believe the Nuggets have what it takes to win it all this year but I have no FAITH that Adelman will make the right decisions in close games to help the Nuggets get the win and plus he doesn't know how to motivate the team like how Malone does. The dude functions like a robot and will not change his tactics like running a small ball lineup and calling time outs at the worse time possible that puts the Denver Nuggets at a huge disadvantage.
You guys saying all this stuff you gotta remember these are just regular season games and it’s one game. The nuggets are still gonna be damn near impossible if they’re completely healthy and gel together by the time the playoffs come around you gotta remember you gotta do this four times the Lakers got bat shit lucky Krazy in that game that wouldn’t happen four times never would beat them 4 to 1 or 4 to 2 at the most in a seven game series in the playoffs. I truly believe that I would bet the house on it. I would bet the house on it they would beat San Antonio 4 to 2 in the playoffs. He is desperately trying to switch to attack DiVincenzo. Otherwise, he doesn't feel comfortable at all. We will see if DA will finally learn and stop playing BB or CB to defend him…
