I understand we haven’t seen anyone like Wemby but his team has to perform as well it’s not just him. Also we have to see how he handles playoff physicality bc it goes up a whole other level compared to the regular season. I’m excited to see how the spurs do but just bc we’ve never seen anyone like Wemby doesn’t mean that his team will excel if he is. I think they are a second round exit and not bc of him but bc this team is still young and there’s bound to be playoff jitters.

I think the spurs will have playoff success and under the right circumstances or even if they beat these teams outright they could make the finals bc of the anomaly Victor is but with all that said he can win you a series but he cannot carry a team to the finals and that’s where the team around him has more questions to answer than Victor. While I think Wemby will struggle at first with the physicality of the playoffs especially if the play say… Minnesota or Houston who in the playoffs there physically is more allowed I think the bigger question will rely on the team bc who knows if Castle will hit those open threes there opponents will concede to him, how will Fox perform he’s only played in one playoff series, most of there team either hasn’t played in the playoffs yet or hasn’t got far. Now the vets will help of course but making assumptions will always happen bc it’s sports but having experience in this field matters. I like the spurs but I wouldn’t pick them to pick any of the top 6 teams in the west besides Houston bc all these other teams are experienced and that matters.
Tbh, the Lakers are one or two tiers below OKC, San Antonio and Denver, but they can punch above their weight.
A chip or conference finals is in the cards, but I don't expect any; what I do expect is for them to prove to be a competitive winning target for free agents.

As a team, No one had picked the Spurs to be this good this year. As a team, they follow Wemby's lead and Keldon's heart and spirit. This team has proven themselves to be mentally and physically tough. Yet everyone focuses on their lack of experience/youth. I will be expecting NBA history to be made by the Spurs this season taking the chip for 25/26!

Wolves fan here, I truthfully think that the team just isn’t responding to Finch well anymore bc they have all the talent they could possibly have but after years of seeing the same thing over and over again of them shooting themselves in the foot I think we need a whole new different voice in that locker room. Also it annoys me that he doesn’t play bones more, Clark, and Shannon like these are playable guards I think having an 8 man rotation now if days is ridiculous bc look at OKC, San Antonio, the pistons, Indiana, and boston like they run 9-10 guys out there and they can adjust to whatever game bc if someone isn’t feeling it ok we’ll switch here and Finch doesn’t give them minutes and also doesn’t adjust it’s just frustrating bc we have talent and we aren’t playing it why? NBA mailbag: Are NBA stars really the leaders of their teams? You'll hear often how NBA stars "Drive the bus" through leading by example but in my own experience it's the Marcus Smarts of the world who's example is infectious not the Durants or Lukas. Yet when I watch most teams and especially the Lakers, Wolves, Thunder they all play like exactly like the "vibe" of their stars. Even in small and odd ways, like did Lebron always throw up 30 foot bombs whilst yodeling at the refs or am I too young to remember it

I think at some point I think we have to stop saying the wolves are “low effort” and maybe they’re just a bad team, and I’m a die hard wolves fan. They’ve had good wins, but their record has been inflated by an easy schedule, and have had a gauntlet since the All Star Break and now their true colors are starting to show. Lack of ball handling, ants selfishness and carelessness with the basketball, and horribly inconsistent players in Jaden mcdaniels, Randle, gobert etc. There are clearly deep flaws in both coaching and roster construction with this team
