Why The Nuggets Suck In The Clutch

Why The Nuggets Suck In The Clutch

The Denver Nuggets struggle in clutch time as Nikola Jokic’s shooting woes and defensive variance raise big questions about their championship pedigree. Can the defending champions trust their late-game offense when role players like Cam Johnson and Peyton Watson go cold, and even Jokic falters under pressure?

Matt Moore breaks down the surprising stats behind Denver’s fourth-quarter failures, highlighting guarded catch-and-shoot defense, Jamal Murray’s consistency, and why metrics suggest some woes may simply be bad luck. The discussion explores David Adelman’s playcalling, Aaron Gordon’s efficiency, and whether shot variance or deeper issues threaten Denver Nuggets’ postseason hopes. Will the clutch gene return in time for the NBA playoffs—or is this a sign of bigger trouble ahead?

  1. The neurotic bipolar overreaction we've come to expect. The Nuggets just won two out of the last three clutch games they played. But you want us to believe the sky is falling. You deserve to cover the Wizards or Kings. You don't deserve the Nuggets assignment.

  2. It's funny how we can come up with stats and theories why the nuggets are bad in the clutch but it's very simple
Jokic and Jamal have not been good in the clutch
And Denver being Denver they can never get a stop

Jamal and Jokic haven't been good it's that simple

During clutch time , you want the ball in your best players hands. Look at Shai, bro in the clutch that guy is a bucket getter

The thunder without Shai clutch time points will be the 2nd seed

Jamal and Jokic just have to be better simple

  3. They're guarded but how well are they guarded ?!! I think we're over indexing stats and figures. It's simpler the Nuggets are not focusing and not flipping the switch in the clutch. That shows up in poor defense, turnovers, missing easy shots and not executing well
