The Raptors Might Have Just Changed Everything

The Toronto Raptors might be turning things around.

After losing 6 of their last 8 games and looking like they were on the verge of a real slide, the Raptors have responded with back-to-back wins over the Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons — including a statement victory against one of the top teams in the NBA.

But the bigger question is… what actually changed?

In this video, we break down what’s different about the Toronto Raptors over this recent stretch, from improved late-game execution to stronger defensive intensity and more complete performances across the roster.

Scottie Barnes continues to anchor the defense at an elite level, while RJ Barrett and Brandon Ingram have stepped up offensively — but is this sustainable, or just a short-term bounce?

The Raptors have struggled all season against top-tier competition, and even with these wins, there’s still a lot to prove.

So is this the start of something real… or just a temporary shift?

  1. We need to get to the 5th seed. New York is probably one of the worst matchups we could get and at the 6th seed we’re pretty much locked in to play them. I think we have a better chance against Cleveland but it still won’t be easy against them either

  2. RJ was always good one on one but he will get lost in the defensive schemes and rotation sometimes. 🦖

  3. 0:30 – by design…. If you watch those close games carefully, you'll see what's really going on.
Yes Darko wants to win, he knows what works, but he also wants to learn about the others on the team.

Now, he's tightening the screws. If actally get back some breathing room, we might see it again.

  4. Post All Star break is the traditional time when playoff bound teams step up the intensity and the other teams on the bubble have to match it. The Raptors hopefully have woke up in time to avoid the play-in or worse. The last two games were encouraging and with the majority of the remaining schedule on the road, it's the way they'll have to play to get in.

  5. I really like the animated reminders/nudges to like and subscribe versus slyly slipping it randomly as you're talking, verbally guilting, or trying to be like a "salesman" like most other youtubers out there. Kudos.👍🏻👍🏻
