I always find it funny when People say a team in the NBA hasn't played anybody. Thats why they on the winning streak they are on.
As if the NBA is the NFL and teams dont play similar opponents.
News flash the NBA has 82 games in it. Teams play their Div teams 4 times apiece each, they also play the teams inside the conference multiple times. And then they play the teams in the West the same number of times evenly.
I say all of this to say. Go look at Detroit's whole Month of Nov schedule. They went on a 12 game winning streak in NOV guess the teams they were playing? The same teams the Hawks are playing right now😂😂.
Nobody said well Detroit is playing all bad teams during this 11 game win streak 🙅🏿♂️ nope not 1 time was in mentioned.
The point is all NBA teams have a point on their schedules that they play a run of bad teams. Its up to the Teams to take advantage of the weak part of their schedule to separate and stack wins or make up ground to catch up.
Every team in the NBA has weak parts of their schedules and strong parts of their schedules. Some teams have the Hard part early in the season and some have it late.
All you can do is play the schedule.
The Hawks had the 5th hardest schedule early in the season. Now they are playing the 10 weakest part of their schedule after the break.
So basically it all evens out.
I dont know if yall looked at the standings. I can tell most folks haven't.
But there is only 2 games that separates the 8th seed from the 5th seed. In the Eastern Conference.
And if you look at the games coming up for all the teams 5th seed thru 8 seed…the Hawks could very well find themselves in the 6th or 5th seed by the end of the reg season because of the number of potential losses each of the teams could take ahead of them. A lot of them are facing the tough parts of their schedules.
And if that happens😮 😂😂😂

The NBA schedule is fairly balanced for all team. However, the Hawks schedule was BRUTAL before the All-Star break — many more away games, many more games against >.500 opponents, and many back-to-backs. But the schedule balances out. During the Hawks 10 game winning streak, they have been able to take advantage of this schedule correction with a lot of home games against <.500 teams. Don't blame the Hawks. They play what the schedule says. And they've won all of these games, which gives them a winning record. IOW, look at the overall picture, not what is just in front of your face at the time.
Why did Ron lie and say the hawks have made the playoffs twice since 2015?
They made the playoffs in 16,17,21,22,23 also.
