LaMelo Is About To Save Lonzo’s NBA Career

The NBA might be done with Lonzo Ball, his career is uncertain, but one destination stands out above the rest, the Charlotte Hornets. With interest from teams like the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics, the best move for Lonzo isn’t joining a contender, but finding the right situation to rebuild his career.

Reuniting with LaMelo Ball in Charlotte makes perfect sense. From their dominant Chino Hills days to their long-standing goal of playing together in the NBA, the fit is both personal and practical. The Hornets have a clear weakness when LaMelo is off the court, and Lonzo’s elite passing, defense, and high basketball IQ make him the ideal solution as a backup point guard.

This move would not only stabilize Charlotte’s rotation but also unlock a new version of LaMelo, allowing him to play more off the ball and return to his natural scoring role. With no trade required and minimal financial risk, signing Lonzo is a logical, low-risk, high-reward decision.

Ultimately, this isn’t just about the Ball brothers finally teaming up—it’s about a move that genuinely improves the Charlotte Hornets and gives Lonzo Ball the best chance to extend his NBA career.

  1. Dude, he's done. His legs are cooked. God willing he can live a decent normal life, but he can no longer do the things required to be a basketball player. That chapter of his life is over, hopefully he saved some money and can find fulfillment in the second half of his life.

  2. If Lonzo had 2 working legs, than sure. But the hornets don't want to burn a roster spot on somebody who can't move anymore.

  3. There is no available playing time for him in Charlotte. Sion & Josh have earned their minutes. Wish Lonzo the best, but unless he wants to be a bench hype man, I don't see it working out

  4. Bro, yes…man we can all hope. I have never seen that footage of Lonzo throwing that pass through the window. Great video DKM.

  5. Of course we want to see him team up with his brother….however, I think he would thrive more bostons system.

  6. They have nothing to LOSE IF THEY PUT ALL 3 BROTHERS 2GETHER EVEN IF ITS JUST LONZO. THEY COULD ONLY GET BETTER. I WOULD SIGN HIM ASAP

  7. Let's Go!! time for the NBA to bring the balls bro together and when the Duo take care business then bring in Gello.

  8. Lonzo post-injuries is a shell of his former self. He used to be so capable, it sucks to see him dip so much. I don't believe he gets a roster spot on the Hornets they be doing fine just as they are right now.

  9. I think he can be an good addition for the roster especially for that second unit.
Lonzo can play good D and get you important stops.
I really like the way Coby white came in but for a chance in the playoffs having that deep roster with Lonzo can be beneficial if he gets into rhythm and stays healthy.
