The Houston Rockets were supposed to be NBA championship contenders along with teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, and Denver Nuggets but instead have been very disappointing despite adding Kevin Durant this offseason. Alperen Sengun isn’t playing his best basketball, Amen Thompson is getting better but limited, and the holes in the roster are really showing, not to mention, Ime Udoka might not be the guy for a job. If they lose in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, drastic changes (Giannis Antetokounmpo?) could be coming.

COACHING!!! Coaching has been soooo ass all season reed is behind schedule because ime is stubborn…. ime rotations are complete ass he sees a great matchup and I understand you need rest but he refuses to put the hot players back in or even change his rotations because a certain player has it going that game for example capela was cooking the lakers on the boards and he didnt play him second half. Another, one game bari was 0-8 from three 40+ min in an OT game mind you, okogie was 3/4 or 3/5 from 3 and only played 12-15 mins….. why is bari still in!! Another early in the season reed will be going crazy hitting threes getting steals but he does 1 bad thing on defense and hes pulled for the remainder of the quarter/half like bro let him play we have no other options sitting on the bench dont help his development, now end of the season he wants to play him its too late for that now

the rockets have no one creating energy or momentum. reed does sometimes, but without adams operating as a second look factory, it's hard to muster up a rhythm and run for energy and fast break opportunities.
I’m 100% convinced KD ruined the growth of sengun and amen since they basically they pass the ball to KD and let him score, no real consistent offense. Not to mention the burner BS hovering over this team
Im a rockets fan (live in Galveston) I said this would happen before the season started because the rockets culture is not a championship one it’s just a business, when is the last time you’ve seen Tillman Fertita at a game? Never cuz he’s the ambassador of Italy
If the rockets are out in Sengun then they should trade him, Aaron, and Josh + picks for Giannis, then couple that with trading Jeff green and DFS for another pg/sg (Malik monk, Schroeder, Keon Ellis) that would give them a great on paper ten man rotation of 1st FVV, Amen, KD, giannis, and Adams. Then the bench would be the new pg, reed sheppard, tari, Jabari and Clint capella

One underrated fact is the steven adams injury. I feel like they were more physically imposing with Steven adams and had more of a identity
First time in the playoffs ever since the rebuild began, we lose in the first round THE FIRST TIME we went to the playoffs and they traded our best scorer and best defender for a 38 y/r old, I love KD but that was the dumbest move all time and our our franchise back yetas

Over exaggeration for content. The reality is they are only 3.5 games away from being a 3rd seed. The west is highly competitive but thats all the more reason why seeding doesnt matter that much. Wolves were a 6th seed and they beat the 3rd seed last year. Shit just look at the pacers they were a 4th seed likely would have won it all had Hali not went down. My point is lets see how they look in the playoffs before we jump off the deep end.

Man dude straight up lying about FVV to push that false narrative. FVV was NOT good last season. They survived on offense through the synergy of green, sengun, amen, and jabari, and Adams' rebounding.
Without green they look like they can't even drive to the basket with any consistency, and FVV is definitely NOT helping there!

As a rockets fan I don’t actually believe KD is the problem, I think he’s actually been a good addition. Losing two starters to season ending injuries is the biggest problem and poor coaching from Ime has been the second. Overall I only watch to see Reed shoot that mf. Such a disappointing season I hope whoever is up next lets Reed grow and gives him the reigns once KD is gone

@three_cone 7:11 are you mentally challenged? Why would Rockets trade for another 32 year old PF who can't shoot? What they need is 6'3-6'6 PG/SG who can shoot,dribble and playmake and be average defender someone like Zach Lavine, Tyler Hierro, Colby White (who should've been brought in at deadline) If Rocket can bring someone with similar skillset and frame they can still be contender next year.
I'm so sorry to be petty (j/k – I'm not), but KD deserves this. I'm a Warriors fan. I'm wasn't mad when he joined us, I'm mad that he left – and his career has been going downhill ever since.
