Wemby has another gear when he feels slighted. The last time a Thunder player took an award that Wemby thought should be his, it didn’t go so well for that player.
The worst thing that could happen to OKC would be for Shai to win MVP. Wemby would be enraged.
Wemby's been playing under 30 minutes per game during the season. And he's barely averaged over 30 minutes in March, with 26.6 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.8 blocks. He's increasing his production.
I have no doubt we'll see a jump in those numbers during the playoffs.
I'm a 25 year long Spurs fan. I hope Shai wins the MVP so that Wemby can use all of his rage and hate to bring us the chip 😉
Spurs will win the ring
Wemby is easily 2nd in MVP, if not pushing Shai aside for 1st. He’s so much more impactful than Jokic has been since his injury.
I enjoy hearing Sam's take on why he believes that Wemby will meet the moment in the playoffs.
But then Bryce follows up with some babble about how he's been talking about something (not clear what) and then goes on a non-sequitur about the Eastern conference play-in…
OKC was beaten FOUR OUT OF FIVE GAMES by San Antone…and trading for one bench player doesn't change SHIT. The Spurs OWN OKC…like I own DOGS. San Antonio is too big…too fast…too strong for OKC…OKC's bigs are inferior to the Spur's bigs and OKC has no answer defensively for Harper, Castle and Fox. OKC IS INFERIOR IN EVERY WAY TO SAN ANTONIO.
Wemby should be 2… He passed Jokic when he came back too early from the injury and the nuggets have been sliding. The spurs have the second best record in the entire league.
Driven like Mike. Humble and coachable like Timmy. As intellectually and emotionally mature as any other player you can think of. Physically gifted like nobody who has come before.

Brook Lopez will have to deal with the Kornet Kontest but will have no chance at all dealing with WeMVP.
I was saying for years that the Spurs have been quietly building a monster in SA, and even if they didn't have the draft luck, I think they would have made the right choices to get the right guys around Wemby, but add their planning and development with some lottery luck and bam, you got a team build a dynasty not just a one time title winner
Wemby shouldn't finish 3rd. He should be the MVP. If defense actually mattered as much as people say it does, he'd be the frontrunner right now

Harper has overperformed filling there backup pg hole.
Carter and Barnes have overperformed. Filling there void at the 4.
The spotty 3 ball and no real size after Kornet and Wemby are there biggest weaknesses.
My Spurs are 1-2 years ahead of schedule. All I was hoping for this season was a play in spot lol.
