  1. the GM in Sacramento is amazing. All the losing Kings basketball from this season and into the future IS NOT Scott Perry's fault … OK ?? … next topic

  2. They did both Dennis and Ellis dirty. Obviously there's been a lot of disfunction with the Kings, but those two guys played the hardest on the court.. and I'm happy they found a Cav's team that appreciates them.

  3. Doug's tank philosophy that he doesn't want to teach losing the end of this season and then promote winning next season to stay consistent… This has been the most inconsistent coach I've seen, not just basketball but any sport.

  4. As soon as A team makes the decision to start Russ He BECOMES THE SYSTEM and takes over.

He's extremely ball dominant and when He's having A bad Game which Is often at this point in his career He brings the Ship down with Him.

Of course He has good Games. So does Andrew Nembhardt. I don't want either player anywhere near A starting point Guard position if I'm the Gm of A franchise.

That's the problem with this analytics era and why TRUE point Guards like Mike Conley and Andre Miller, Mark Price never get mentioned as greats and the younger fan base Most likely don't even know who they are.

Of course Russ still has moments and good games. But I wouldn't want him anywhere near my franchise as A starting point Guard if I were A Gm.

To each his own. Schroeder was told he'd be the starting point Guard then they sign Russ like one week later.

It sure worked out well for the team as far as team success. Russ is given Kudos for Max's ascent when there are A PLETHORA of point Guards in the NBA that could do the same thing AND impact winning.

Sorry Westbrook fans. I'm not A fan literally at wouldn't want Him anywhere near my team if I were trying to win Games and make playoffs

  5. Sour grapes? Jesus, Matt, you just gave a dissertation on this pod and the radio show about the ineptitude of the Kings’ ownership and FO; how Fox has been vindicated, how they did him wrong, yet you think it might be sour grapes on Dennis’s behalf?!? Or Keon, who they basically gave away for nothing. You know how Vivek and this FO operates—badly. What have they done to make you give them the benefit of the doubt? Perry is a nepo hire, Vivek didn’t interview anyone legit. Doug Christie is another legacy nepo hire that’s already a lame duck on the interim coach turnstile, which is how the Kings get all their coaches these days. Kings had no business signing Westbrick, throwing him a lifeline, after being now on nearly as many teams as Dennis has — toss your joke right back at you — and didn’t help the team win this year. Did Russ help the team win, Matt? Emphatic NO. You think Dennis couldn’t have helped steer a tank job by himself? It’s the FO and ownership. Will be fascinating to see which of these top lottery picks lean on their agents to not get drafted by Sacramento. The Kings have been full Kang for awhile now and earned the vitriol.

  6. I mean if I'm an NBA player and the entire fan base and media crashes out whenever my team wins I'd Half azz it too.

What's the motivation to go out and play hard when the entire fanbase and media crashes out after A W?

I get it the team wants A star player but I've checked out this season. I have zero interest or investment in tanking teams teams. Have zero interest

  7. BTW, there’s only ONE organization that actually believes Doug Christie is a better coach than Will Hardy (until he’s dismissed of course) yet somehow Hardy also manages just fine walking the tank line and actually fielding a better, more competitive, more competently executing team by literally every metric than Sacramento. The Kings were basically a scrimmage opponent these last two games.

And Hardy’s got the extension and backing of ownership. So your “theory” if it turns out to be correct is just another way this FO/ownership group manages to self-sabotage themselves, literally shoot themselves in the foot again and again…

  8. They expected you to be the starter and you didn’t live up to any expectations at all and were benched for Russ who was contributing in a far better way

Gotta take ownership on this one 🤷🏼‍♂️

  9. It’s an EMBARRASSMENT that Westbrook starts and continues to get big minutes for this team. Watching this guy continue to stat pad HAS BEEN WORSE THAN WATCHING THIS TEAM LOSE!!! It’s fkn sickening!
