All I know is the Hawks 11 game win streak has gotten them to the 6th seed in the EC Standings Wooo!
You not a Hawks fan. Thats why😂😂 you didnt see it coming.
You didnt know about all the injuries the Hawks suffered through.
You didnt understand what the New GM Unsi was doing when he decided to move on from Trae Young and Porzingis.
You didnt understand his vision of building around JJ the new Face of the team.
You also didnt see the Coaching and development that Quinn and his staff have been doing with all the new players that are on the team now. Tweaking the Offense and Defense to fit the new players.
This is a brand new Hawks team ladies and gents. This isnt the same team that started the yr off.
And last but not least you havent been looking at the schedule. Not of just the Hawks but of the teams in front of the Hawks.
Please watch the game, with Zach defensive impact. Just missing weight and ball handling. Star if not super 3 to 4 years.
You have to watch things other than ESPN. They're convinced the Civil War is still ongoing, so they rarely report things from southern teams.
Hawks fan knew this team had something when Trae Young was hurt and the team played better without him. The team is talented and more importantly plays well together. Jalen Johnson playing MVP ball also helps. Injury is why the record isn't top 3 in the East. Y'all just haven't been paying attention
Dyson doesn't need to shoot threes. He's really good on the offensive board and has the giant killer floater. He's perfect in his role, I think if he were to shoot threes, it would take a lot of offensive putback opportunities and swatting the ball out on rebounds that he's been giving us. 4 out of 5 starters being very capable three point shooters is plenty.
Also we need to take into account the Hawks overall record without Trae Young this season. They were an abysmal 2-8 with him. Let's take those 10 games out entirely and the Hawks are 36-23 in games without Trae. He has kneecapped this team the last 3-4 years after that playoff run. His contract is Godawful and his negatives are far outweighing his positives still this early in his career. We had 3 early season losses to the Bulls, the Bulls are not a good team this year. So even with those 3 games swapped, they become 41-28. Plus this team hasn't even had time to gel. All the moving parts these guys are still learning, only having played what, 30-40 games as a full unit? And not even that cause Kuminga has been hurt almost his entire time here and he's a difference maker.
They're gelling at the right time, playing hard on both ends of the floor. Opponents have been easy but you're supposed to beat easy opponents, and the Hawks aren't just scraping by with 2-3 point wins. They're putting belt to butt and taking care of business by the 4th quarter in most of these games.
11 in a row is 11 in a row, can't argue that, they don't need to prove nothing.
Yes 11 in a row is BIG! Even against some BAD TEAMS! They are playing quality BB and Jalen is usually the BEST player on the court! Kuminga has had 2 good games since coming over why is everyone MAKING BELIEVE he's killing it!
Thinking us losing Trey would hurt us in any way truly shows you know nothing about the Hawks. But it's ok you know now Trey was holding us back BADLY!
