Game 5 of the 2006 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals started out looking like Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson and their New Jersey Nets would be extending the series to a Game 6 – shooting a blistering 70% from the field early on and not allowing the HEAT to take a lead until 2:15 left in the 2nd quarter.
The HEAT and Nets fought back and forth from that point on until nearly the very end, when New Jersey even had a chance to score the go ahead bucket with just under two seconds left in the game…
